Shroud of the Avatar produces 25 minutes video of in-game footage

Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues is six months into development and developer Portalarium has brought you a video taking a look at the state of the game, narrated by Lord British himself. Watch the 25 minute video after the jump.

The video takes a look at dialogue systems, crafting and early versions of cities and prisons.

Shroud of the Avatar: Forsaken Virtues is Richard Garriot’s latest social RPG and spiritual successor to Ultima. The game met its Kickstarter goal last April.

Thanks, Polygon.

It’s a lot more effective to showcase environments in quick condensed panning shots followed up by some game mechanics for a proof of concept video. This felt more like a dev log. A boring one at that.

Also, introducing yourself as “Lord British” kind of has that vibe like a 12yo introducing himself as
xX-lazorshot92-Xx. Kinda makes me want to strap a basket on him and take an 80 day road trip.

… so I can ride him like a hot-air balloon.

Because he’s full of it! C’mon, these are quality jokes people!
