Peggle 2 to miss Xbox One launch in favour of December release

Timed Xbox One exclusive Peggle 2 has been pushed back from an expected day-and-date release with the new hardware, and is now officially a "launch timeframe" title.

The delay has not been announced, but was communicated by PopCap senior PR director Garth Chouteau to VentureBeat.

"Peggle 2 is a ‘launch timeframe’ title, but will not launch day-and-date with the Xbox One - instead, it will become available a few weeks later in December," he wrote.

Microsoft had announced the casual sequel for day one release alongside the Xbox One. It's expected to come to other platforms eventually, and will probably be worth the wait - it's got a whole new series of masters.

The Xbox One is due on November 22.
