This video wooshes around a PS4 while telling you its specs

Saturday, 2nd November 2013 21:01 GMT By Phil Owen

Most of us know what’s inside the PlayStation 4 at this point, and so maybe there’s not much point in listing them again. Unless, that is, you do so in a video that plays some OK music while the camera wooshes around a PS4 unit at every possible angle (except from below, sadly). Sony made that video.

Cool. 1.84 TFLOPS… AMD’s Next Generation GPU. Lol.

Generic 760 GTX has 2.3 TFLOPS – 240 USD – this videocard is already out. Next year will be 800 series.

Funny thing though 780 gtx has 2300+ cores and 4.500+ TFLOPS of power. Here you go. I’m afraid to say how much TFLOPS have Titan or latest AMD’s R9 cards.

    P.S. Previous gen
GTX 680 had for example (3.54 TFLOPS)
    GeForce GTX 580 (1.58 TFLOPS)
    GeForce GTX 480 (1.34 TFLOPS)

Can’t wait for next gen Maxwell cards power. :D

It’s just the beginning of the consoles life so it’s not gonna have very good games yet. But it does have great specs

#6 battlefield 4 has the same bullshit premium and it requires origin

that’s not a PC masterrace game, the witcher 3 shall be

along with a few other titles that comes to current gen (dark souls 2)

and not to mention the “next gen” wants you to pay for online useage

meaning to buy boringfield 3.5 on PS4 will cost you
400-console+60game+50onlinepass+50″premium”+50$ third party controller since duelshock is crap for FPS because of the twin analog sticks=610$ to play battlefield 4 with decent settings

in that price you can buy a decent PC, add 150$ for mouse+keyboard+anti virus and you’re set for a good time

also you get Nvidia shadow play which allows you to record game footage with ZERO impact on frames per sec since it’s hardware based.

    What is your problem?
Why do you have to be a dick on every article?

And what is with the name? It seems like your going out of your way to be an asshole.

And before you call me a PS4 fanboy; I’m on the fence for both consoles, I wait for good software to come out before I decide.

These consoles are a big letdown for me. I cant believe they cant make an upgradeable console. Im not talking about HDD but I would love to see a console where you can upgrade the cpu/gpu. Not at launch but 2-3 year later they release 1 new gpu which you can buy (totally optional) and put it into your console to get better graphics.

These specs will be very soon if not already dated.

@13 yeah if they were in a pc but they arent they’re in a dedicated games console.

@3 my 5850 from 2009 2.09 teraflops but they cant ofcourse make gpu’s that big for a console because then you will need a medium sized desktop under your tv. and also yea pc needs more resources and i will get ps4 as well. pc will now always be ahead with graphics but you can go as realistic as you want the games still need to be fun

@1 agree and region change would be great. Xbox has had these features for a very long time.

The idea of an upgradable console is a terrible one, its one the general public dont want and for the most part wont understand. They want a box they can turn on and play games, they dont want to have to deal with extra costs for upgrades and buying a game and realising their console cant run it or the like.

PC’s arent the number one gaming choice for a reason, people dont want to put up with that crap and its why the Steambox has zero mass-market penetration. Bringing the most complicated, costly feature from PC over to a console isnt a solution.

Why’s Sony making a video with a giant shit in slow-motion?

    @20

We will see in few months if it really has 0 mass market penetration.

I for one awaits with great interest under steambox hood and lineup(s). Then I will decide what is worth buying.

By the way, mass market is relative to talks pros and cons, depending how PR does how well/wrong it is receives by the general public then it will define the market share but saying 0 mass market before it even starts is a bold assumption.

@ #26: Ah yes, the famous middle finger MS used to shove their DRM policies up MS fanboys rear end before they pulled a 180. Seems to have stuck with you. Lol jk jk, enough fanboyism though seriously, pretty sure your not 5 so dont act like it.

LeendBoss is indeed a douche as legend Douche points out hahhaa get it!?!?

Sony still hiding real numbers and specs on CPU. Eh w/e they really need this console to do well. Just look at their financials

TCompare the ps4 to ps3. If that old piece of hardware can run games like gtav or tlou properly, just imagine what a many times more powerfull machine can do. Maybe its not so amazing if you are a pc gamer with a high end rig but for a console gamer the leap will be a well worth of 400 dollars to pay for. Actually if you compare ps3 and a same spec pc wchich i had a while ago, one can notice that the same level pc with ps3 cant even run games like mw2 or gtaiv. Maybe on the lowest settings and 720p with 20-30fps. Thats pretty lame compared ps3`s 1080p on both games and 60fps on cod. So consoles are worthy competitors thanks to better optimizing and the full use of their hardware
