Friday, 1st November 2013 11:16 GMT By Dave Cook

Blur: Overdrive has launched on the App Store, following the racer’s Android release. It’s a top down free-to-play effort based on the Bizarre Creations racer, courtesy of developer Marmalade Play.

Go here for details of the Android edition.

In a press release sent to VG247 today, Blue: Overdrive’s iOS release was confirmed. You can download it for free via the App Store now.

As you’d expect, there are in-app purchases. The game also features 25 cars, over ten events and tons of customisation.

We’ve got a batch of screens below. Let us know what you think.

Thought about getting this but its getting lots of below average reviews from players thanks to clunky controls and crashes.

I liked Blur – one of the only arcade racers I’ve enjoyed since Daytona etc. Never understood why it bombed so hard – and certainly deserves better than being turned into a horrid IOS game. :-(

Lack of marketing? And because Split/Second came out in the similar timeframe.

It was chaotic as hell though, especially online. It was basically Mario Kart on steroids.
