Most powerful women in gaming: Kiki Wolfkill and Amy Hennig enter Fortune’s top ten list

Fortune Magazine has published its yearly list of top ten most powerful women in gaming, adding Halo 4′s executive producer Kiki Wolfkill and Naughty Dog creative director Amy Hennig to the roster.

The list can be found in full here. The article cites Wanda Meloni, founder of M2 Research, who stresses that while the number of females playing games is seeing a sharp rise, only 15% of the global gaming workforce consists of women.

    I believe she took the name from her husband, who also works in games development for MS iirc.

    And the only one who’s truly working on actual games is Amy Hennig. The others are just on accounting or managing jobs.

    @6 kiki wolfkill worked on many games with development. Gears of war 3 being one of them.
    Of course though, gotta give that Sony developer all the limelight.

    Fully deserved for Amy Hennig. One of the best creative people in the industry, regardless of gender, and a phenomenal writer to boot.

    I see Jade is still hanging on with her looks.

    Wolfkill is living off of Reach still. Halo 4 multiplayer was an abomination and ruined Halo. Reach was good but not as classic as 3 multiplayer.
