Halo Wars free on Xbox Live Gold in Korea

Thursday, 31st October 2013 11:23 GMT By Dave Cook

Halo Wars has gone free on Xbox Live Gold in Korea. It’s unclear whether or not the strategy game will make its way into the West’s free offerings.

The Korean freebie was spotted by OXM, and the site adds that the game is still currently £14.99 here in the UK.

It comes as Microsoft decided to extend its free games scheme for Xbox Live Gold subscribers, with Halo 3 as the most-recent offering.

@2 I hope so too. It would be great to see a lot more people online playing that game.

I think today is the last day for free Halo 3 with XBL Gold. I wouldn’t mind Wars as my next freebie either. I’ve never paid for a Halo game, but 3 is not bad, especially for the price. :P

Is there an international date line involved here? Tomorrow is November. Maybe this just needs to filter to us? I’m terrible at geography, so apologies if my speculation is way off.

I’m kind of Halo’d out. I would not mind them mixing it up with something else, even though Halo is awesome.

    Sorry for the blasphemy.
