PAIN being "re-invented" as free-to-play title

PlayStation Network classic PAIN is getting a re-release, Sony announced at a Brazil event today. Gematsu reports Sony is working with developer QB9 on a new version of the physics-based time-waster, which will be free-to-play but retain the same gameplay. No release date was provided, but it's coming to PlayStation 3. The original PAIN was developed by Idol Minds, released in 2007, and quickly became one of the best-selling PSN titles.
