Gran Turismo 6 to deliver online Ayrton Senna content

Sony has signed an agreement with the Ayrton Senna Institute, a non-profit organisation founded in the famous F1 driver’s memory, to deliver online content updates from one of the most storied careers in the sports history.

According to the PlayStation Blog Ayrton Senna Institute president Viviane Senna and Polyphony boss Kazunori Yamauchi took the stage at the 2013 Brazil Game Show to announce the long-term partnership.

The first payout from the deal is a series of online updates to Gran Turismo 6 “enabling players to trace the roots” of Senna’s racing career.

No details of how the deal benefits the Ayrton Senna Institute were provided, but here’s hoping they’re multitudinous; the organisation works to provide children with life skills, notably literacy and other education essentials.

The Institute now supports 25% of all schools in Brazil, trained 750,000 teachers, and benefited 17 million children – a magnificent legacy to a supremely talented driver.

Gran Turismo 6 launches exclusively for PS3 in early December.

    Oh bloody hell.
Codies can’t get him into their game but somehow PD can?

I suppose it’s better than having ‘The Finger’ shoved in my face.

Brenna, it’s Ayrton Senna, not Aryton.

CM really dropped the ball by not adding the legend in their F1 classics when he IS actually the best driver to ever grace motor sport. Very noble of PD to honor the legend, can’t wait to get my hands on GT6 :D
