Injustice signs up to Sony’s PS3-PS4 digital upgrade plan

NetherRealm’s DC-licensed fighter Injustice: Gods Among Us is the newest member of Sony’s PlayStation 3 – PlayStation 4 digital upgrade programme. This means that, for a limited period, then you buy the disc or digital version of the game on PS3, you can get a discount on a digital copy of the game on PS4.

Others games that are part of the program are Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, Assassin’s Creed 4, and NBA 2K14.

This how it works: the PS3 version of the game comes complete with a code. You redeem this code on PSN to get your discount, and then use the PS3 disc in the PS4 console to activate the next-gen version of the game. If you bought it digitally on PS3, the PlayStation Store will automatically offer you a discount on the PS4 version.

So if you’re still enjoying Injustice, there’s no need to give it up when your shiny new PS4 arrives.

Thanks, Eurogamer.

I’m kinda worried about this. Even with destructable world and epic moments taken into consideration, the graphics in Injustice felt kinda poor. I’ve been playing MK9 recently and it holds up much better than Inj.

So, will we get a fully upgraded Inj on PS4 or just the same game with higher res textures and 1080p native? Because if it’s the latter, this would be a horrible deal even with the discount.

@1 I’m sure it will be higer res textures, but why is that a bad thing, every single next gen launch game is doing the same thing AC4, COD, BF, NFS, the list goes on
