Rhythm simulation game Hyperdimension Neptunia PP (working title) is set to release on the PlayStation Vita next year in Europe and North America courtesy of NIS America, who acquired the rights. Both a retail release and digital version of the outer-space idol manager are planned.
In the game you play as an idol manager from Earth who falls into another dimension called Gamindustri where I think video game consoles live as young anime girls and you guide one of the four CPU’s, which I think are the console-anime girls, producing and managing their idol careers. There might be an evil group of idols called MOB-48 who perhaps represent mobile gaming?
Straight from the press release: “Teach these girls to sing, dance, and properly promote themselves to the general populace thanks in part to your expertise in training video game idols back on Earth. As the girls’ popularity rises, they will be able to join one another in singing duets, or maybe even come together for a full ensemble!”
So look forward to that sometime next year.
