Final Exam is bringing old school beat 'em up action on November 6

Final Exam is a new fighter from a new developer, Mighty Rocket Studio, which consists of nine people and was founded just to make this game. It pits four archetypal teenagers against a variety of monsters, with the simple task of staying alive. It's now been announced that it'll be available on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC next month.

Reads an entry on the EU PS Blog from the studio's founder, "You were going to a class reunion. It should have been a fantastic party… but you suddenly realise that there are monsters everywhere, and they are after you!

"You can choose from four characters that are all classic teen archetypes. Brutal Joe is the quarterback of the group. He likes everything related to raw power. Cassy is a street dancer and her special attacks are dance moves. Nathan is a geek. He loves technological stuff (he’s my favourite). Finally, Sean is the handsome guy… but the bad boy. He likes playing with firearms."

There's also information about character customisation, same-screen co-op play, and a scoring system based on pulling off effective combos.

Final Exam is released on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on November 6, priced at £7.99.
