Capcom is working on a new fighting game, according to Yoshinori Ono

A certain Mr Yoshinori Ono, executive producer on the Street Fighter series, has dropped a few hints on Twitter about a new fighting game being in the works at Capcom. He tweeted this morning: "I want... no, Capcom wants Game Designer and programer for New Fighting Game. Its location at Tokyo or Osaka Studio."

Ono also confirmed that the studio was "making preparation for development in just now." A fan then asked him if the game would be next-gen. Ono replied: "I can't speak, it's imagine that..." So, it's probably next-gen.

Whether a new fighting game means an all new IP or a fresh sequel to one of Capcom's many fighter franchises is all guesswork for the moment (I guess the latter).

Start speculating... NOW.
