Plants vs Zombies 2 finally shuffles its way onto Android

Plants vs Zombies 2 has launched on Android, slightly more than two months after it launched on iOS. The new release requires an Android 2.3 device or higher, with a gigabyte of RAM and an ARMv7 or higher running at 1GHZ. Additionally, to celebrate the launch, the ingame jalapeno is 65% off this week.

Although it was alleged that by EA's Frank Gibeau the game's Android delay was due to an Apple payoff, both Apple and Popcap have denied that claim.

Popcap's Tony Leamer said that "If you look at the way PopCap develops games, we start with one platform and get it right," and that with Plants vs Zombies 2, they chose iOS as the lead platform.
