Path of Exile launches today, adds loads of stuff

Path of Exile has been in open beta since January, racking up some 3 million players along the way. Today the game is officially released, adding new areas, monsters, quests, skills, and a new Scion character class. There's also support for Guilds, capture the flag, dueling, and tournament PvP options.

Developer Grinding Gear Games has also outlined how it plans to support the game moving forwards. They promise content patches every two weeks, with large scale expansions dropping every four months.

The game is free-to-play, and the developers promise on the official website it "will never be pay-to-win."
