Wii U sales up 200% in September, 3DS best-selling US console – NPD

Thursday, 17 October 2013 22:48 GMT By Brenna Hillier

Drawing on this month’s NPD figures, Nintendo has announced excellent sales results for both the Wii U and 3DS.

Pre-empting the release of general sales figures by the NPD Group, Nintendo issued a press release announcing that Wii U hardware sales increased more than 200% month-on-month in September.

The significant sales surge is almost certainly the result of a price cut, which saw North American retailers drop the price of the Deluxe bundle by $50 to match the Basic, but may have been helped along by the Wind Waker bundle.

The 3DS also had a good month, managing to be the territory’s best-selling console for the fifth consecutive month; the launch of Pokémon X & Y and the 2DS in October is likely to see that trend continue this month.

Further details from the NPD group’s monthly report on US retail sales is expected shortly.

In UK Wii U is pretty well priced, but people still want to play Xbone / PS4 COD over games like a Wonderful 101 for some reason. :/

Also, new games are pretty cheap on Wii U, Sonic is £34.99 on the e-store, that’s pretty low for UK pricing.

400% of 2 is 4 times as many so 2×4=8

    No numbers, sigh….
Poor hardcore fans, getting all wet after listening to 200% of xxx. Seriously, some people cant stop being a salesman and giving Ninty magical titles. Good for them I guess.

Btw, to put some perspective, 3ds had a increase of over 1000% after price cut while Vita had same boost after Japanese price cut. So 200% is a rather ordinary boost considering holidays incoming+price cut, that too with no solid numbers said means the numbers are still pathetic.
Wedbush has a guess of 55k, whereas VGC has it at around 100k, its probably safe to say its somewhere in between. Awaiting leaks.

    @6,
They know its bad, hence the marketing spin with no numbers.

  20. pcbros

    @22 – Actually…

If previous sales were 2,000 per month, a 100% increase in sales would equal an additional 2,000. You are basically saying that sales went up 100% of the previous amount.

So a 200% increase = 4,000. So if the previous sales were 2,000 per month, adding the 200% increase (4,000) would amount to 6,000.

@24 – “Poor hardcore fans, getting all wet after listening to 200% of xxx.”

Who overreacted to this article? Everyone seems pretty calm to me. Just because some people are happy for Nintendo that they are experiencing ANY kind of increase doesn’t mean they are being foolish.

I grew up playing the Sega Genesis, SNES and TG-16. I never knew who was selling what and didn’t care. In this internet era, people seem to care too much about figures. We aren’t CEO’s, we’re gamers. If you like the games, buy the system…

“In this internet era, people seem to care too much about figures.”
Really? Why are you in this thread then? Numbers are important, and if you “don’t care” why not leave that discussion to people who know their importance?

    @25,
    Ignore my above comment.
    “Who overreacted to this article?”
You can see for yourself. Only 1-2 of them, mind you. Not all fans are like that.
Not naming them since its ok to have differing opinions on a company. I think you don’t know, but those guys have a made a account on VG247 for the explicit purpose of defending ninty and rile other users, by their own admission. So I am not interested in engaging in a slugfest with them nd giving them what they want, hence not naming them.
Although I wont be surprised if one of those hardcore fans who feel they have such behaviour responding with insults.
They aren’t different from a passionate Arsenal fan and a Spurs fan sparring using virtual ink. Yet both of them pretend to be neutral, hilarious.

“In this internet era, people seem to care too much about figures.”

    @28,
“Any positive Wii U news grabs my attention.”
    Selective bias huh?
So you have no trouble with positive Wii U numbers, but have one with negative ones? Duh.
Btw, industry works on numbers, not magic or abstract things like that. If you don’t like numbers, ignore them. Why do you care if people talk about them? But they are very important, despite whatever you want to say.

“If someone’s house gets destroyed by a tornado and that person is happy that one of their personal items was saved… do you remind them that 99% of their stuff is gone?”
I am sooo soooory, I didn’t think Wii U was the equivalent of a homeless man hit by a tornado named PS3 and 360.

Console War or just getting the globale numbers as games boost console sales.

    Wind Walker!

    Wii U console sold:
August ca 124000 vs September ca 148000
    Wii U increased ca 20%

    GTA V!

    Xbox360 console sold:
August ca 293000 vs September ca 481000
    Xbox360 increased ca 64%

    PS3 console sold:
August ca 514000 vs September ca 810000
    PS3 increased ca 57%

Maybe Nintendo miscalculated and throw in an extra zero as if that makes news more positive.

And we may look at total console sold in Q2FY2013 as those numbers may tell how much makeup our pig needs:

    Wii
    ca 0,3 millions

    Wii U
    ca 0,4 millions

    Xbox360
    ca 2,1 millions

    PS3
    ca 3,4 millions

I belive Nintendo have to throw a party as Q1 vs Q2 gave Wii U a increase of ca 14%.

    @monkey (17)

Well, that list was filled in the last 2 years (or so) of Wii U’s life-cycle, so who says that PS4/XB1 wont have a big first party lineup down the road?

Sure you can say that in December the Wii U will have more 1st party exclusives compared to the rivals, but that is expected for every launch of gaming console.

    Cherry picking much… :P

  30. monkeygourmet

    @34

It was just based on the 3 consoles as it stands this Xmas. That list obviously doesn’t apply to someone who owns a Wii U, more to people who don’t (yes, believe of not, some people don’t own a Wii U!) :)

    #30 1 year ago
  31. monkeygourmet

But, yeah without figures it’s just nothing. And while figures are important, they don’t make quality games disappear, as much as some people would like them too.

Nintendo potentially have one of the highest rated exclusives this Christmas (Mario 3D World) compared to ‘next gen exclusives’. Does it mean anything to me how it scores or sells? Not really, I’ll be playing it alongside PS4 or Xbone.

    Games not consoles.

@1 – to play Nintendo games?

  33. Madlink

@CyberMarco While I agree that monkeygourmets comparison isn’t exactly fair, what it does do is show that there are plenty of reasons (software-wise) to pick up a Wii U.

Also the Wii U has only been out for roughly 11 months, not 2 or so years. ;)

    #33 1 year ago
  34. monkeygourmet

Nintendo sold over 140,000 CONSOLES compared to Sony / MS in Japan recently. Do I give a fuck? Not really, people have ups and downs to to have a company that only produces consoles still standing toe to toe with 2 huge global powerhouses is always amusing.

Personally I think people are still a bit butt hurt over Wii smashing everything last gen. :)

@1: because it´s a fun console with great games. i personally wonder why people want to buy ps4´s and x1´s to be honest. i cannot see much greatness in those devices yet. not at all.

again, in my personal opinion, if you are into gaming and you are interested in gaming “culture” in general, if you want a well rounded opinion about gaming today, there´s no way not to own a nintendo console. imo the 3ds is the better nintendo console contentwise atm but the wiiu is an awesome, innovative and fun machine. that so many so called gamers aren´t buying it but shit their pants because of the ps4 x1 launch is a bit sad imo. the strange joy and weird kicks many posters are getting out of bad wiiu sales is disgusting.

  36. CyberMarco

@monkey “yes, believe or not, some people don’t own a Wii U!” No shit! :P

@38 Oh, my bad. then less than 1 year! :)

Well to counter that, I can say “as I waited almost 1 year until the Wii U had a big 1st party lineup, I can always wait for the PS4/XB1 too”

@Poly “i personally wonder why people want to buy ps4″

I’m interested in the PS4 mostly for Kingdom Hearts 3 (if that wasn’t obvious already), Final Fantasy XV and Metal Gear Solid GZ/V (I know it’s a current-gen game too). As you see I’m mostly interested in 3rd party games, but 1st party games are welcome too, like Infamous, GT and future Naughty Dog games.

Also I’m interested in buying a PS Vita in the near future, so I could use some extra features with the PS4, and with PS+ it sweetens the deal.

You can say I can get the same experience/feature with the Wii U and 3DS, and I agree. I would gladly get a Wii U and 3DS, they have several games that I’m interested in, but I have already “invested” in the Playstation brand, and as getting the Wii U now isn’t really a big problem money-wise, the problem is time-wise, already have a huge backlog on Steam and PS3, not mentioning the PS+ games and the ones for the PS Vita in the future.

Also, I feel “uncomfortable” buying things and not getting the most out of it *cough* Steam Sales/Bundles/PS+ *cough*, so by adding more to the pile isn’t helping much! :P

    Great news!
I got it two days ago, and I love it.
I’m glad I waited – price is lower and there is more games now.
I’m not buying X1 at all. I will buy PS4 maybe this time next year.
I own a VITA but WII U gamepad is WAAAAY more comfortable and has a bigger screen. Very good machine!
I’m sure WII U will sell amazingly well when NINTENDO launches more quality games. This is gonna be the same as with 3DS…first it was a disaster now it is the best selling console of all time. Nintendo knows what to do!

Yes i was right, booyah: Francis, Dragon, Polygem and Monkey messages.

    @Dragon
    Just one comment, forseeing this.

    @Francis
I was right, yeah Francis i’m not acknowledging your dribble but to correct you:
First. You will never find anywhere where i said anything about US or EU sales.
Second. I’m not on VG247 24/7 made that comment then slept at a point.
Third. You don’t know official EU sales, you only said US and you weren’t even sure what you thought when you said always/usually.
Finally. You were right once compared to the many lists of wrongs.

    @Polygem
Thats a new approach to your salemans tactics, variety is the spice of life :)

    @Monkey
Yes we get it the Wii U has a lot of exclusives, they will sell to the people who want it and its a pity it took Zelda for that.

    @Cyber

I think you hit the nail on the head with:

“but I have already “invested” in the Playstation brand”

The Xbox and Playstation brand have created an ecosystem that rewards long term subscription. Weather that be Trophies / Achievments or a strong multiplayer friends list or like for certain titles.

Nintendo didn’t really achieve that with the Wii (crappy friend code system and almost zero online), and you could say they pay the price for not setting up a similar system sooner.

That definatly matters to some people. The herd mentality generally sticks to what they know (not saying you are a sheep obviously) and it takes a lot to sway people away from MS, Apple, Sony if they are a fan of there products.

I knew people (and TEA was a good example on here), who ONLY bought Sony products and hence bought into the Playstation brand because they thought it equalled quality. Missing that fact that Sony’s products can be as hit and miss as anyone elses.

I have an Apple tablet / Phone, Samsung TV, Windows Acer Media Center etc etc… Not to mention consoles from all brands. I personally buy what ever product I think offers the best quality, features for the price. Console wise, I try and get them all eventually, but I can definatly see people being stuck with a particular brand. It happens all the time.

The difference with a media ecosystem is you generally get rewarded for sticking with a single company: For example, Im looking at Android phones for my next upgrade, but I will lose all my iPhone / iPad apps so the temptation is to stick with Apple, they tend to make it easy and worthwhile to stick with their products.

Same goes for consoles. It’s only after MS royally fucked up the reveal that we have heard about people ‘jumping ship’ but many people would have stuck with Sony / MS regardless of what Nintendo had created, just based on the factors I’ve listed above.

It’s very hard to pull a limpet off a rock.

@cyber. i can totally understand that. i am having the same problem. i am focussing on 3ds and wiiu atm. this changes all the time though. i had a very playstation heavy phase at the end of the last year, first half of this year. was a huge xbox gamer for many years.
right now i just don´t get excited about whats in the pipeline for the next sony ms machines. if people are excited about it that´s fantastic. all i´m saying is that there´s still no need to hate on wiiu. it´s a great device – gamers should try it themselves. it´s sad that they don´t. it would be alright if they´d leave it like that but not buying it, not knowing what they´re actually talking about AND spitting hatred all the time just looks extremely stupid to me.
that´s not aimed at you though i know you´re not one of the platform fanboys :)

@LB: i just checked your house via your internet connection. i still can´t find a wiiu anywhere. go buy one now. i warned you mate :)

Even at one unit per month, a 200% increase is still a positive number. Might be a small positive, but it’s still a positive.

  44. Dragon

    @30,
So you come to a numbers and sales thread only to tell other people to stop talking about numbers in anything less than an overly positive tone about your favourite console?
Okay then. Maybe you like attaching Ninty with hyperbolic meaningless adjectives like “Disney of game world” which makes no sense whatsoever.

    Have a nice day.

Btw, since oddly, we dont have a NPD thread, I will just put these numbers here (courtesy creamsugar)-
    Wii U – ~91k
    PS3 > 360
    PSV > 40k

    Killzone: Mercenary – ~41k
    Rune Factory 4 – ~17k
Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl – <10k
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker – 123k (including bundles)
    Rayman Legends – <70k (Wii U: 55.5%)
    Grand Theft Auto V – Over 7 million including PS3 bundles (360: ~58%)
    Diablo III – ~550k (360: ~61%)
    Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix – 273k
    The Wondeful 101 – A little less than 20k

For the first time in 32 months, PS3 leads home console market in US outselling 360 due to GTA 5 bundles.

Oh wait The Wonderful 101 was supposed to be a system seller? Someone told me so, in a long list of supposed saviours. Well at least he was right once about Zelda, unless usually means i should take him seriously.

Killzone Mercenary did 41k? Well thats good for a title without any ads whatsoever. And PS Vita did 40k in similar factors as KM, well i don’t know what to say.

    @50
    Yeah, not much to add.

@49 – So you come to a Wii U article just to put down the product?

Btw, according to your numbers, the PS Vita is a complete fail. Should we go around talking about how pathetic those numbers are?

“PS3 leads home console market in US”

Should 360 owners trade in their consoles for a PS3 because of these numbers? No matter how to put it, numbers mean very little to consumers. Some hardcore gamers might love them but the average person doesn’t care.

    @LB,
Sony was moronic in not releasing a KZM Vita bundle in US like they did in Europe. Most of US sales of Vita came from Walking Dead bundles.
    Really stupid.

“the PS Vita is a complete fail. Should we go around talking about how pathetic those numbers are?”
Really? You haven’t seen me in Vita threads calling it a walking dead, which it is? Ask people above you.

And this makes me sure that talking anymore with you on this thread is useless. I cant believe you cant see how silly your arguments look like-

@53 – Why is my opinion that numbers don’t matter much affect you so much? I don’t live or die by the numbers, deal with it.

Did I ever accuse you of being a Vita advocate? My point was you shouldn’t trash a system based on numbers alone. And just for the record, I don’t think the Vita is an epic fail.

    #51 1 year ago
  52. monkeygourmet

This is relevant, I’ve mentioned it before:

If a user purely exists to remind or rub ‘teh numbers’ in someones face, then there is an underlying motive for doing that.

Personally, numbers don’t effect my enjoyment of a console or game series.

When a company does good numbers on a series – it’s milked

If they don’t do enough – they’ve failed

Miley Cyrus might sell a metric shit ton of music, doesn’t mean I want to listen to it or think it has any merit.

My beef with the Vita was more about games (at the start), the merits of offering AAA experiences and pricing (memory cards etc…). The numbers the console sells don’t really have significance for me unless I purchase a new machine and it tanks so badly it only has 1 or 2 games on it. Neither the Wii U or Vita is in danger of that.

What it comes down to are people entering threads regarding a fantastic looking and original title (Wii U / Vita), and rather than talk about the game quality or ideas, start bean crunching. Even when right, does that effect your purchase or the overall quality of the game?

History shows many fantastic games fail to do COD numbers or anywhere even close, it’s not a good barometer of quality and makes for a very boring discussion topic IMO.

But, when it boils down to it, the numbers vs. quality arguement has become somewhat clouded with people from either side stepping over lines that either show unrealistic expectations or gleeful relish when something fails.

If you refuse to purchase something that you know you will enjoy because it’s not selling xxx numbers, you are either cutting off your nose to spite your face, or are a fanboy and the numbers were irrelevant in the first place (you will always find something to complain about.)

The Wii is a good example: Good numbers, some people still hated on it.

Gamecube: Powerful, unique games, no ‘gimmicks’, people still hated on it…

  53. Legendaryboss

    @56
Its only positive if the initial figure is big. If so we wouldn’t need to be told so in percentages. We? You aren’t doesn’t equal me. I’m talking about Wii U with the competition, so whos the “we” you are talking about?.

    #53 1 year ago
  54. Legendaryboss

    @57
Sigh, never has it been proven that people won’t buy into something because “it’s not selling xxx numbers” Theres no correlation between the two nor is there any proof.

All thats been stated is that Wii U is selling at this figure and its games are selling at this figure, just because the person may or may not say it in a way that pleases you does not equal “cutting off your nose to spite your face, or are a fanboy and the numbers were irrelevant in the first place”

“When a company does good numbers on a series – it’s milked” No, milked is coming out every year or having many games within in a year with no signs of letting up.

“If they don’t do enough – they’ve failed” By that logic, Jak And Daxter, Timesplitters and many others are failures, and i refuse to believe that.

  55. monkeygourmet

This would be fine from many commentators ‘without prior knowledge’ or history.

If you want to break it down (it’s going to be hard until we get the final figures), then any increase no matter how small is positve. You can’t make an increase in sales a negative outcome.

All you can do is say:

“Well, that was an increase but it wasn’t enough to help it” etc…

Or, they are hiding behind percentages (although there was a small increase unless they are completly lying here).

We saw that before with Sony hiding Vita figures etc…

But that isn’t really helpful or meaniful in any way.

Vita had a good spike recently, still not great or anywhere near whats needed but you gain nothing by pointing that out.

People enjoy the number counting because it generally gives an absolute. A figure you can tout or use to crush an argument. XXX is selling YYY isn’t hence XXX is better.

By that argument Justin Bieber produces some of the finest music in the world.

    also,

“never has it been proven that people won’t buy into something because “it’s not selling xxx numbers” Theres no correlation between the two nor is there any proof.”

Thats shown by weather something is ‘popular’ or not. Wii U is not popular atall at the moment.

    Hooray for Nintendo!

I don’t see how anyone could be unhappy about this news, whether you like the Wii-u or not, having Nintendo in the running is good for the game industry and for Nintendo and for us gamers!

Is it that some people want Nintendo to fail because they want them to be more like they once were? I can understand that (I wish Nintendo would make a more powerful console comparable with the others or better) but
    I don’t want them hurting.

I don’t get the glee in watching Nintendo suffer with the Wii-u, or the unhappiness whenever there is good news regarding the device. It seems every Nintendo article is just filled with comments, between the Nintendo faithful and others, and I don’t get why exactly.

+ 200% of [NO INFORMATION] is [NO INFORMATION]*. Had Nintendo seen fit to give meaningful information it might mean something. They chose not to do that. The information is meaningless due to the specific way it was delivered – which, of course, was no accident.

The only way you can inject meaning here is to abandon logic and insert bias.

Waving arms around and concocting melodramatic fallacies about hate is mere distraction. Some here are simply choosing not to abandon the real world in order to swallow vacuous PR spin.

For a real world demonstration grab your calculator, switch it on and enter “+ 200%” and see what number it returns.

There’s your meaning. There’s your worth. Now you can tell the world how much of a Nintendo hater your calculator is.

It’s the same as saying “Yes, we are thinking about a Zelda game” or the “something something Zelda” statement, as I prefer to call it.

All I said at the beginning is that with the internet gamers are giving too much importance to the numbers. That’s my view. I don’t recall back in the old days going to the Toys R’ Us clerk and inquiring about sales figures before buying a game or console.

You have your own view and that’s fine.

@79 – But in the real world, those unannounced numbers exist. Just because they are unannounced doesn’t mean magically there were no prior sales.

So you can enter ANY number you want on that calculator and multiply it by 200% and you will achieve a higher number than what you first entered.

“But in the real world, those unannounced numbers exist. Just because they are unannounced doesn’t mean magically there were no prior sales.”

I never said that. Nor did I even imply it.

    “Just because they are unannounced..”

Which is why the statement is meaningless. Its context and meaning has been deliberately removed.

    Do the calculator test.

“So you can enter ANY number you want on that calculator and multiply it by 200%”

Well done. You’ve not read and you’ve not understood.

Do the calculator test using only the information provided by Nintendo’s PR statement. Do not add any information other than what they have seen fit to provide in their statement.

Your result is the real-world worth of that statement.

    Holy shit!!!

Of course the number is at least 1!!!!

I mean… WTF?! Why would they release ANY percentage if they knew they had either sold less or 0?! That would be the weirdest boost in hstory.

If you want to follow logic, you have to start with at least 1.

    edit:

If you want to nit pick, then yeah, put 0 down, -10, 10,000 whatever makes you feel good.

But since it’s unknown, I’ll let you pick any number that floats your boat. Even fractions…

“That makes you a hypocrite as well”
I have already proven the second poor attempt wrong. “Titanfall = XB1 exclusive backtracked, make up a new definition of exclusive to fit Titanfall platforms. Didn’t research definition kept pursuing it as exclusive in a context” Unless refuted and doesn’t exist, this happened.

“Isn’t that commenting without researching first? That makes you a hypocrite as well.”
The difference is i did actually research as i stated but you conveniently forget, but the research itself was wrong (Not my research, not my error). Another attempt wrong. “Changed, misread another article.”
    http://www.vg247.com/2013/10/18/sony-confirms-driveclub-delay/comment-page-1/#comment-551552

I’m not saying i don’t make mistakes (who doesn’t?) but i usually pick up on it when corrected either by myself or others, which is something you can’t do with XB1 exclusive Titanfall?

    “You continue to feed.”
Not by my usual standards of arguing/feeding, at this point i just want him to prove his words which wasn’t in my @43 statement. “I’m not feeding you beyond @43 whats said” I’m pretty sure that meant i’m not feeding him beyond what i already said:

What i said: “First. You will never find anywhere where i said anything about US or EU sales. Second. I’m not on VG247 24/7 made that comment then slept at a point. Third. You don’t know official EU sales, you only said US and you weren’t even sure what you thought when you said always/usually. Finally. You were right once compared to the many lists of wrongs.”

He makes a new point with new factors @69 Then i resume to comment, because he said stuff beyond whats in @43. “I’m not feeding you beyond @43 whats been said and still isn’t proven.”

“You’re exact words to others are, “stop feeding the trolls”. Yet, you continue to feed those whom you label “trolls”. Doesn’t get clearer.”
Key word is others and me. I said feed you beyond the statements made at that post. But that is wrong: My exact words generally (not here) to others are “you do know person X is a troll?” Really, seriously? The stop feeding is implied by gods know what but not said.

    “Hypocrite and lack of self-control.”
Disproven i have self-control when i most need it. The hypocrite part, the fourth time used and disproven.

The only thing thats real sad, is how i disprove all of what your saying and you keep coming back with attempts at hypocrisy that fail to prove your points.

  95. pcbros

@95 – You take things too literal.

So if Sony announces, “We have more surprise exclusives for the PS4 launch.”

Normal people would say, “Cool, maybe Uncharted 4 is coming” or “awesome can’t wait to find out”.

You would translate it to: “Since no exact number was given of how many surprise exclusives are coming, the above statement is meaningless. In fact, using only the information provided we can conclude that MORE of [NOTHING] equals [NOTHING].”

    #95 1 year ago
  96. pcbros

@99 – “The difference is i did the research as i stated but you conveniently forget, but the research itself was wrong (Not my research, not my error). Another attempt wrong.”

Pretty sure you said you “misread another article”. Doesn’t that mean the article was correct but you misread it?

EDIT: Could you provide the link of the article that stated DriveClub PS+ was not delayed?

Also, in that same Titanfall example you love to swing around, I did say immediately that I meant it was coming out for the XB1 and not the PS4 (Link). But you conveniently forgot that too.

“Didn’t research definition kept pursuing it as exclusive in a context”

So now you are a liar. Read the thread (Link). Never did I insist in calling it an exclusive. I even said that calling it an exclusive was a poor choice of words

Maybe you should do more research before you comment.

“He makes a new point with new factors @69″

Now I understand. We should not feed or continue to feed the “trolls” unless they make new points. Ok, got it.

@100 “You take things too literal.”

    Ugh.

No, I take them for what they are and don’t dance the dance that the PR man tells me to dance.

It is no accident that context and meaning was removed from the PR statement. I am not the one concocting meaning and inserting information into something that has had both extracted deliberately.

Your cute go-to Sony ploy attempt at flipping this around also doesn’t work. But it’s says a lot that you feel the need to fictionalise even more information to argue with.

    Joe, there are numbers.

The Wii U sold around 34K in the August NPD

The sales were 200% increase month on month

Therefore the sales are around 90-100k

Which is a massive improvement from before. And shows that people will buy the Wii U when there is more software available.

November is packed with great games as well. Super Mario 3D World is going to sell a lot of Wii U’s

“Doesn’t that mean the article was correct but you misread it?”
Another article means i’m looking at two articles or possibly more at that point in time, two containing the same theme, i misread the article that was wrong in favour of one that wasn’t: messed up message and then corrected by others. Hence “Changed, misread another article.”

“So now you are a liar.” I’m referring to this
The definition was put in front of you but you said “do you feel it’s ok to call Titanfall an XB1 exclusive in the context of PS4/XB1?” Thats what i’m talking about, a game is exclusive only in that definition context or in timed or in PC/another console.

“Never did I insist in calling it an exclusive.” In a context? “Didn’t research definition kept pursuing it as exclusive in a context” “Do you feel it’s ok to call Titanfall an XB1 exclusive in the context of PS4/XB1?” I know what i’m remembering, not that article.

    @LBoss

There is no denying you feed Francis up like a prize goose. Thats kind of plain to see really.

Generally if there’s a Nintendo article, your first contribution is something along the lines of:

“In before Francis xxx” (paraphrase obviously).

That is passive aggresive no matter how you look at it. When Francis then makes his appearance, it’s:

    “Called it”. Again, passive aggressive.

I can see why the suggestion of you calling out trolls is being hypocritical seeing as you have the biggest supply of troll food from where I’m standing.

    Super3000?

“Hey everyone, don’t feed the MS troll” etc, etc…

Troll hunting is a noble hobby, but your technique seems to create more of them?

    Something isn’t working…

Some make a point of not spinning an article and take it for what it is rather than oversell it by adding bias and playing the PR man’s game.

Beware those so tightly gripped by PR or bias that they can’t tell up from down and are offended by those that don’t succumb to the same level of manipulation.

The upset, hypocrisy and offense demonstrated by some when others refuse to fall for PR, buzzwords and spin is both tragic and farcical.

@106 What’s been written in black and white is so ceaselessly spun and twisted to serve agendas. The constant efforts at fiction, dismissal and obtuse misinterpretation in this, ahem, discussion are like a perfect storm.

  105. pcbros

@106 – So, can you link the article that was wrong (regarding DriveClub not being delayed)? Sounds like it would make for fun reading.

“The definition was put in front of you but you said ‘do you feel it’s ok to call Titanfall an XB1 exclusive in the context of PS4/XB1?’”

I only asked because YOU said referring to calling a game exclusive or not… “In this scenario of two platforms? Okay.”

I said the article misspoke calling those games exclusives. I was pretty clear about the definition. You are the one that introduced the whole “in the context of XB1 vs PS4″.

“I never phrased it like that, did you even read what i said? I said I’m not feeding you beyond @43 whats said I’m pretty sure that meant i’m not feeding him beyond what i already said, so when a new point is made with factors that aren’t in @43, its being resumed.”

Ok, let’s see here… you are not feeding him beyond @43 (check), but when he makes a new point with factors that aren’t in @43, it’s being resumed (check).

I said, “We should not feed or continue to feed the “trolls” unless they make new points.”

Did you not continue to feed him because he made a new point?

“We should not feed or continue to feed the “trolls” unless they make new points.” “Did you not continue to feed him because he made a new point? Are you not reading this?”

What? It seems like your not reading/fully understanding what i’m saying, I’m reading and understanding what your saying perfectly clear. Why are you taking my point and globalising it to trolls, i only stated Francis?

“Ok, let’s see here… you are not feeding him beyond @43 (check), but when he makes a new point with factors that aren’t in @43, it’s being resumed (check).” So what you said previously has been disproven by you after lots of clarification?

    - You guys have been some of the hardest critics on Wii U based on nothing but sales data.

    - Some of you guys have said the Wii U is dead or incurred that it is dead like when the Media Create sales charts when up this week.

    - Yet you guys failed to realize the Wii U is getting new cheap bundles in Japan on October 31st. Why would anybody go out and buy a Wii U in Japan now, when you can wait a couple weeks and get 3 games packed in for the same price?

Joe keeps on saying 200% of nothing is nothing. But he fails to realize that many people do actually have access to the numbers, they are just not allowed to leak it out.

The Wii U did sell around 34K in August. 200% increase equals 91K-100 this isn’t speculation or rumors. Its fact.

    @136 – “Missed a word somewhere but what i should have said…”

    Sounds like backtracking to me.

You tell people not to feed trolls (I’m not the only one who has seen this, read other comments). But you continue to feed them. Then you say, “Wait! I only fed him because he brought up a new point”. Then you say, “Wait! I only tell people UserX is a troll, I don’t tell others not to feed them”.

I proved you have indeed told people not to feed trolls and you have proven in this article how you continue to feed them.

First you said you don’t say it. I prove you wrong. Then you say you don’t generally say it.

Here’s the thing… you can’t judge someone because of a few comments and expect not to be judge by a few of your own.

“a little sad that you went back months ahead to prove another disproven point.”

It’s called research and I think my point is well proven.

@138 – “Now your freaking me out going back months to past articles to try and prove me wrong.”

I guess some people think they can hide what they have said and no one will bother to dig it up to prove them wrong.

@140 – “So to end my input, any comment after this you have won: just to appease you and to stop you wasting your time on going back to past articles and linking to prove future disproven points.”

Hope you find that article someday but to appease you, I will pretend you did indeed find it.

Hmm? I told you that forum thread wasn’t about fanboy wars but keep overlooking, that was a thought/rant thread.

Hypocrisy? After telling you that wasn’t a fanboy wars thread and just a rant based on thoughts (Which was stated), you still perceive it as one.

The fact that i disproved the notion fanboy wars in every Nintendo article by linking the above just proves i can’t take you or your creepy PCbros pal (BTW I’ll could repeat myself to disprove you but promised not to for your supposed victory, keep being butthurt its obvious) seriously.

She’s going to take you out into a forest…

There’s an open hole in the ground…

She’s going to whip off her top to reveal a tattoo of the PS4…

Your going to try and run… She’s bearing down on you, She’s now flailing PS Move controllers at you… Your screaming…

She’s gaining ground… You try and reason with her but she’s just parappa rapping… You can’t make out what she wants….

And… Finally (after you trip while admiring a mushroom that looks like toad), she pounces…

Next day you are found with 6 PSmove controllers in your body…do you still want to sleep? ;)

Oh right, a few posts where you actually praise some Nintendo games completely refutes the claim that you instigate fanboy wars. Not really.

I see you and Francis go back and forth pretty much every day, and i actually think you enjoy it personally. Perhaps you get some weird sense of accomplishment by predicting a messy thread and it turns out exactly that because you keep going back and forth with everyone who are proving you wrong (PCBros is an example here).

I don’t instigate them, i take part in them again big difference.

Oh no it refutes the original claim of it happening in every Nintendo article, which was your original point in capital letters? Now it is no longer being used now in favour of something lesser.

You think? Well you keep thinking because it will never be true.

Proving me wrong? Everyone? Its primarily one person on that crusade and it is a failed one: If you kept track no ones proved anything because i kept disproving.

@Annoyance: Ended my input (proof/comments on that failed crusade) so you would win, a promise is a promise. Doesn’t equal not acknowledging you or ignoring. So i dunno where “he says” comes into this.

I’m sorry, that isn’t entirely true. You can’t instigate then feign innocence when it suits you.

Historically, you are involved in these type of threads, especially involving Francis and Clup (who has TRUTHFULLY stopped bothering to reply to him…)

If you can’t see why people don’t think you relish in this, gif posting, goading etc… Maybe you have more of an elevated view of yourself than you realised?

  150. ManuOtaku

For one it is good to see that they are new people on the Nintendo Defence Force, go guys.

For this topic at hand, i think this will be the first step in the recovery of the WiiU based on more games available and a fixed price, now they need to bundle for free the pro controller.

As for the 200% increase, if even companies give and provide data about negative things like accidents, fatalities, and professional illness, indicating an increase of lets say …200%, even if it is only one more case, for them it is really a big difference one more affected life, therefore i think is not the % that is important is the situation involved, for nintendo is a big thing because they arent selling good and now they are seeing an increas, which is good on all accords.

  151. Legendaryboss

    @154
Its not innocence and you just proved my point about being part of those arguements/involved. The goading may have instigated the argument but it was the now disproven labels that influenced it to this far.

From @2 to @43 the argument is still present

Okay yes the goading i accept, the gifs already covered.

As for my view if you look back on that rant you can see i admit i’m a hypocrite in real life and generally not on here, i can also accept criticism if valid but my problem is being called a hypocrite and other things for reasons invalid. Also having someone digging through months old articles for my comments is real strange and rubbed me the wrong way.

My name is legendaryboss and i dance in the threads, whatever that means oh i wish i was a big fan of dancing. Hm? No, just no. Doesn’t suit me.

“So yeah like Dragon said about Wii U at a point” What i said, this is the point i was referring when he said its “sad indeed” Thats the point: picturing otherwise is being in your world. But you said it was Dragon who uses Media Create to doom Wii U, i wonder why i was left out then but added now? Questions questions.

Wait until? Well it is better now that your using actual system sellers (This acknowledgment overlooked i bet) in regards to Wii U selling more (Another acknowledgment overlooked again i bet) in spite of every exclusive will help/save Wii U. Wonder why you dropped Sonic Lost World (you used it in the Media Create article)? Or The Wonderful 101? Or Pikmin 3? X? You shocked me leaving this good one out, oh positive Nintendo comment will be overlooked again, sigh…

So thank you for proving my point.

  165. dreamcastnews

I don’t think Legendary Boss is the problem here, Francis. Looking over Nintendo threads it’s usually Dragon who, although comes out with factual based comments; can often spiral into what looks like a dislike for Nintendo, stating the obvious time and time again and baiting those who do like the company.

    #165 1 year ago
  166. monkeygourmet

    Passive aggresive and provoking.

  167. Dragon

“Looking over Nintendo threads it’s usually Dragon who, although comes out with factual based comments; can often spiral into what looks like a dislike for Nintendo, stating the obvious time and time again
Yes. So I am the problem in stating the obvious and factually accurate statements. And people aren’t for taking offence to factually correct statements that doesn’t involve an iota of personal insult.
    Okay then.

Btw, I wonder where you all guys are when I do the same for Sony or MS or Vita? Why is it that only one particular set of people here gets riled up by facts? Surely we can avoid all these bickering if all of us can be more accommodating?
    Questions questions.

Some points I would like to make-
    1. I sincerely apologize if anyone got personally hurt by my comments. They never meant to hurt anyone. (to you specially pcbros)
    2. I think there is enough room (or comment space :P ) to have differing opinions on a topic. There is no need to divert to personal insults when you only have diverging opinions, isn’t it?
    3. I agree with fearmonkey that its rather silly to hope any big company to die. Why would you want thousands of people to lose their livelihood. I dont think there is any need to clarify, but I doubt anyone of this thread wants Ninty to die. That would only lessen the competition for consumers and again, thousands will lose their jobs. Though that isn’t a valid argument to gag others to not talk the truth about Ninty at all now, is there?

#171 is pretty good case study of a hardcore fan personally insulting others for publishing true facts about their favourite company. I am very interested to see how people subscribe to such personal mudslinging.

This continuous drive of insults and going around in circles in every thread is getting very tedious. And frankly, I am quite sure many people on VG247 would be laughing seeing this thread, knowing how repetitive this thing has gone.
Enjoy yourselves. Live and let live.

Both Dragon and Legendary are dancing in this thread like idiots because it was only Wednesday they where dooming the Wii U to hell.

You guys are unable to look into the future and see that Nintendo has software that will sell systems.

Systems just don’t sell on their own. If you think these sales are ok, wait till Mario Kart 8 comes out, or the next Zelda, or Smash Bros…the list goes on and on.

You guys aren’t worried about Nintendo games actually being good, you’re just worried about sales so you can bash Nintendo.

Both of you guys won’t be playing the Wii U, so thats why you guys are so quick to bash the Wii U’s software and system.

Dragon, why are you even commenting so much on Nintendo games? You know you’re a Sony fan. Just stick to Sony articles.

    #170 1 year ago
  171. dreamcastnews

@172 my problem, if you want to call it that is that it’s ALL THE TIME with you, the majority of us ‘get’ the shit that Nintendo could potentially be in if the U doesn’t start pulling it’s socks up and as a fan (not fanboy) of the brand I don’t really require reminding.

I understand you’re just posting facts, I get that and don’t think I’m totally singling you out but you’re certainly a main exponent of calling Francis out for his (often blinded) passion of the brand.

Forgive me if I’m wrong about you, but it does seem to seem to have a sneer in you smile about Nintendo products not leaving up to the expectations.

EDIT: @175, you’re not helping dude. I get what you’re saying but you are also guilty of baiting both Dragon and Legendaryboss.

“Wonder why you dropped Sonic Lost World (you used it in the Media Create article)? Or The Wonderful 101? Or Pikmin 3? X? You shocked me leaving this good one out, oh positive Nintendo comment will be overlooked again, sigh…”

    - I don’t use the same damn list every time, I just bring up games in my head. Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3, X, all help sell the Wii U. Just as Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, Zelda Wii U, and Wii Sports club will.

When people are looking for a system, they just don’t look at one game. They look at all the content the system has to offer.

Monolith Soft’s X is next year, I think that will help push Wii U’s as well. And Pikmin 3 did help sell the Wii U.

My problem with you is this. Why are you so fixated with the sales? There are a ton of great games out and coming to Wii U. You know good and well you’re not going to play any of these Wii U games I am mentioning.

So do you only comment on the Wii U to bash it like you did with the Media Create?

I could go to every single SOny thread and mention how shitty the Vita is doing….or talk about how its doomed….but I don’t. Yet everytime there is a Nintendo article. You and Dragon are here spewing random junk.

    Just stick to Sony dude.

    #172 1 year ago
  173. Legendaryboss

Why am i fixated sales? Nope. Were you not talking about in that media create article about Wind Waker Sales in the US? Don’t you always say once a certain amount of games release sales of Wii U would be…?
You know that i know i ain’t playing those games mentioned? Stop stealing FRIENDS quotes!
Bash the Wii U? Media Create? Not only did i disprove that, I never said Wii U is doomed in there, its you who came to that conclusion.
Oh but PS Vita is doing shitty as is Wii U, same situation: the difference is one gets flacks and the other rarely does. Another difference is i generally do not use the word doomed/shitty. Every time? Someone said something like that, eventually disproven: nowhere to be seen now.

But to put my cards on the table:
PS Vita is doing shitty outside japan.
Software sales are poor outside Japan.
SCEE/SCEA don’t do collaborations like SCEJ did with Toukiden.
Most third parties aren’t supporting it.
    Crap marketing, across-the-board.
Not enough AAA exclusives for 2014. I’ll wait for that shitstorm, if any. Doesn’t look like it.

I’ll stick to what i want to, oh thanks again proving my point about overlooking the positive comment about X and acknowledgment of system sellers.

    @Monkey
Nice to know i have taken zero responsibility? Am i getting through to anyone? I did not say that, you are, NOT ME: what is going on here? Am i not speaking any english? So making predictive/goading comments is the same as help creating? I said i involve myself in this and you did too (involve does not equal create) so yes some responsibility is on me, but not only me this argument was only extended by one person and involved various people. Pinning this on me and forgetting the others involved, is narrow-minded.

As I read this thread I picture a group of people shooting their guns towards Legendary’s feet while he dances around in a panic.

@167 – I tried to end it in a civilized manner. But you obviously enjoy this, so to appease you, I will continue.

Let’s bring up some more of your crap…

#131 – “its positive that the Wii U is selling well ATM maybe that was a point forgotten”

Forgotten? Didn’t you say in #58, “Its only positive if the initial figure is big. If so we wouldn’t need to be told so in percentages.

#139 – “note the further you go back the more you creep me out”

Translation: “Please don’t find more examples of my hypocrisy.”

#140 – “So to end my input, any comment after this you have won”

#147 – “BTW I’ll could repeat myself to disprove you but promised not to for your supposed victory, keep being butthurt its obvious”

Another input on the same topic. Childishly hidden in a post directed to someone else. No self-control and a liar.

#152 – “@Annoyance: Ended my input (proof/comments on that failed crusade) so you would win, a promise is a promise.”

    #147 proves this statement wrong.

“@Annoyance?” Is that bait so I can call you Legendary@ss, Legendaryliar, or Legendaryhypocrite?

#156 – “i admit i’m a hypocrite in real life and generally not on here”

    You just proved our point.

#156 – “Also having someone digging through months old articles for my comments is real strange and rubbed me the wrong way.”

Translation: “I can’t believe he found those examples and proved me wrong!”.

#167 – “Oh i’m so sorry if me disproving you equals making up excuses”

The fact you dodge everyone’s accusations here is proof of your many excuses. If you read the comments, you will see various people accusing you of the very same thing and providing their own facts.

Some of your excuses: “I misread a vapor-article”, “I don’t have the article, I just deleted my history today”, “That’s just two examples, I meant generally”, and “I don’t instigate, I participate”.

And before you get your panties in a bunch, those excuses are not direct quotes, rather rephrased statements.

Interesting how Legendary plays the card of the victim as well.

“i was being name-called a liar, an instigator of fanboys”, “I would have left, if not called a hypocrite and liar.”

    Yet the facts prove otherwise…

#2 – “In before Francis fanboy nonsense.”

#54 – “Don’t be too hard on him, he makes comments without researching it first or backtracking later.”

He initiated all of this crap. He has no problem labeling people and falsely accusing them.

    @PCbros
“Forgotten? Didn’t you say in #58, “Its only positive if the initial figure is big. If so we wouldn’t need to be told so in percentages.”
It was forgotten as in Francis forgot, that was a point made in general to your response. Two different points made in different sections.

“Some of your excuses” “I misread another article (Truth, you cannot prove otherwise)”, “I don’t have the article (Why would I?), I just deleted my history today (actually at a time point on mobile)”, “That’s just two examples, I meant generally”,

I did say generally right here: “My exact words generally (not here) to others are “you do know person X is a troll?” Really, seriously? So yes there are exceptions.
    http://www.vg247.com/2013/10/17/wii-u-sales-up-200-in-september-3ds-best-selling-us-console-npd/comment-page-2/#comment-551787

“First you said you don’t say it. I prove you wrong. Then you say you don’t generally say it.” Other way round, minus prove me wrong and typo issue.

and “I don’t instigate, I participate”. Not a excuse, that was something i stated in response.

“Please don’t find more examples of my hypocrisy.” Which have been disproven time and time again.

“Another input on the same topic. Childishly hidden in a post directed to someone else. No self-control and a liar (Thats simply your opinion, which has already been disproven). What i actually said: Ended my input proof/comments on that failed crusade so you would win, no input on the failed crusade was given a acknowledgement on it was given.

“The fact you dodge everyone’s accusations here is proof of your many excuses. If you read the comments, you will see various people accusing you of the very same thing and providing their own facts.”
“As for my view if you look back on that rant you can see i admit i’m a hypocrite in real life and generally not on here, i can also accept criticism if valid…” Dodge everyones accusations but this one is left out.

“Is that bait so I can call you Legendary@ss, Legendaryliar, or Legendaryhypocrite?” You have already called me the latter two (minus legendary) and its still only your opinion.

“You just proved our point.” Generally not here you haven’t, real life and virtual for me are different, i have distinguished the two you cannot prove it in real life so you cannot prove it here.

“And before you get your panties in a bunch, those excuses are not direct quotes, rather rephrased statements.” Rephrased sentences? Say no more.

“But you obviously enjoy this” I don’t enjoy having someone pick through my comment history (Going back months back), labels me etc. etc. So no i’m not enjoying this, again thats out of nowhere.

Four people does not equal everyone “The fact you dodge everyone’s accusations here is proof of your many excuses.” I’m not dodging anything, i’m acknowledging it head on as you can see. Its not excuses its me disproving whats said.

“He initiated all of this crap” No @2/43 My presence is missing. He has no problem labeling people and falsely accusing them. Besides i didn’t falsely accuse Francis nor did i you.

@189 – “Thats simply your opinion, which has already been disproven”

How do you disprove an opinion? You sure like flinging around the word “disproven”.

“I don’t enjoying having someone pick through my comment history, labels me etc. etc. So no i’m not enjoying this.”

So you don’t enjoy being labeled, but yet you label others. I know there’s a word for that…

    “Nothing would please anymore more.”

Yet you started it and continued all the way through.

    @190

It rarely spills over onto other threads though. You r a bit fucked if you come here for Nintendo news though, i’ll give you that.

When I started posting it was you and TEA going mental in ALL the threads. At least this is somewhat self-contained.

@192 TEA was the one always going mental on me. Most of the time, I ignored him completely, though that never stopped him going mental anyway. Only a handful of times did it ever get “out of hand”, and I certainly didn’t waste my breath for three whole pages.

Also, TEA did that to everyone. I was gone for like six months and he was still going.

This is a frequent, almost daily occurrence here, it’s always the same people, and it’s been going on for months.

    @PCbros
“How do you disprove an opinion?” How do i disprove a opinion on me? Very simple, I state its not true thats all i have to do. And no matter how hard others try, i can disprove it seeing as i know myself better than anyone.

“So you don’t enjoy being labeled, but yet you label others.” But i don’t enjoy labelling others a difference. Francis admitted he was a troll, The Titanfall thing and anything linked happened. Another difference.

“I know there’s a word for that” Disproven, that word is being used because it is a theme recurrent.

“Yet you started it and continued all the way through.”
    Like i said

“The goading may have instigated the argument but it was the now disproven labels that influenced it to this far.” “Okay yes the goading i accept, the gifs already covered.” “i’m no pushover: i fail to see why i should be labeled incorrectly, sit back and take it.” Also this argument ends when we all stop commenting.

If you do find something thats very clear, i will come forth and admit it seeing i can admit i am a hypocrite in my real life and if i can admit it to strangers, i would have no problems doing the same in virtual life. So i not sure where you think i’m unwilling to admit it?

In all my years on internet message boards. I have never seen somebody dance to the level Legendaryjackass is dancing. I mean seriously. It was just Wednesday he and Dragon tore the Wii U a new one, calling it dead.

Now they are just questioning the numbers, and damage controlling, and making excuses. Seriously….

Legendary you should be on Dancing with the Stars. Honesty, I give this performance a 10/10.

You have been exposed so many times by multiple people in this thread and you keep on dancing.

OMG. Wait till Super Mario 3D World comes out and the Black Friday sales get revealed. You’re going to be in full on river dance mode for like 300 comments.

    @193

    :D

    @194

Thats fair enough about TEA, it was mostly one sided.

    @195

Sales figures will always do that though. People miss-use them as a barrometer of quality, or people get to tetchy about them if they are not to their liking.

JM is right (I think he mentioned it first?) That this percentage is intangible without a solid figure. But we all know there IS an increase albeit a small one if you really want to break things down.

What actually happens though, is people attaching motives to their ‘analysis’ and hiding behind:

“Hey man, all i’m doing is telling it like it is” attitude. Calling people out, then complaining when they get exactly what they asked for?! Doesn’t make much sense but it permiates Nintendo threads in particular.

It shows what a polarising company they have become and how strong people are invested in other brands doesn’t it?

The reason I listed the exclusves was simply to show, regardless of sales numbers (good / bad), people are missing out on new experiences / quality gaming by ignoring the console. Sales figures can never take that away and as i’ve said before, the only time it really matters is if they are so bad, games stop getting made for the system prematurly.

The Dreamcast is a perfect example, people love it now and it’s a classic console with many amazing games. Poor sales cannot take that away so I never know quite where people are going with such reliance on bean counting.

The Wii U doesn’t have to last – 10 years like the PS4 / Xbone (Those systems CAN’T fail), im sure it was never intended to have a huge lifespan.

Non of us have stocks / shares in any of these comapnies…

The Wii U will see a good few more years, and be host to some all time classic games (It already has a good pedigree), thats all that matters.

Since you have, at different points in this thread, taken the liberty to describe me as the “problem”, I would like to hear your opinions on needless and unprovoked insults hurled by #171 at me. Do you condone that sort behaviour too?

And one more thing, I would love to have someone, anyone to show me a single comment where I categorically stated Wii U is already dead. Its not yet, however signs aren’t looking good. I would happily state the facts again when/if Wii U makes a comeback.

However, there is something hilarious going on here. Here we have a particular guy telling others to stop preaching numbers, yet if you perform the positivity/negativity swap related to the company he likes, you would see how numbers are fun

@205 if 171 is Francis then you’ll notice I’ve stated he shouldn’t be baiting both you and LB all the time. I already said you’re the problem on many Nintendo threads for just always saying ‘this thing is the walking dead’ – what do you think that’s achieving aside a heated debate that always goes the same way EACH AND EVERY TIME.

Can’t we all agree that the Wii U is in a dire position at the moment, NOT it’s parent company? You see, Dragon; Nintendo have to keep making systems that are oddball and off the wall because the consumer doesn’t want three competitors doing the same thing all the time, as Monkey said, if you want to proof just look at the GameCube – it seems to me you’ve fallen out of flavour with Nintendo for not having a super-powerful system to compete with Sony and MS, don’t you agree we don’t need TV boxes doing the same thing?

What’s your honest view on the Wii U? And Nintendo?

@196 – “How do i disprove a opinion on me? Very simple, I state its not true thats all i have to do.”

So now you are changing what the word “opinion” means.

Definition – Opinion: “judgment or belief not founded on certainty or proof”

The fact is you can’t disprove an opinion because it’s not founded on fact or proof. Do some more research.

“But i don’t enjoy labelling others a difference. Francis admitted he was a troll”

You are still labeling people. Don’t try to twist it by saying, “It’s ok to label people IF…”

“The Titanfall thing and anything linked happened.”

Of course everything you say happened, but everything every other person has said here about you didn’t happen. How convenient.

“The goading may have instigated the argument”

So you admit you started this crap war. Good job.

No i am not saying that, YOU ARE.

You got: “So now you are changing what the word “opinion” means.” From “How do i disprove a opinion on me? Very simple, I state its not true thats all i have to do.” Disproving not changing: i didn’t say the definition of a opinion can be changed. I don’t need to research opinion (Research seems to be a point you are upset about), because i don’t need to research what i already know. “it’s not founded on fact or proof” Interesting, so the opinions stated previously are not found on fact or proof.

“sometimes you can label people, IF…” Again you are saying it, you are thinking i’m twisting. Its based on what your saying NOT ME.

“Of course everything you say happened, everything every other person has said here about you didn’t happen.” Your saying it again.
Its been refuted by me, they are saying it happened so it happens in their mindset. It they think it happens, fine but it still remains their opinion.

“So you admit you started this crap war. Good job.” So i admit that i may have started this war to equal i admit i started this war? Nope may is expressing possibility, so its possible but i haven’t admitted it.

It’s aimed at Dragon and is a critique on how I view his conduct on this site:

“3DS is doing well, pity the Wii U is dead now on lfe support, prob won’t last till christmas at this rate.”

Something like that? Am I doing it right?

A compliment is used to ‘hide’ the ‘meat’ of what he wanted to say. First rule in trolling really, pretty standard.

#3 “Great opening for Pokemon, although a little less than expected, since pre-orders itself were 1.5 million+. Looks like most pre-ordered it.

Vita sales are very good too. Looks like all those rumors of sales going down in anticipation of new model were true after all. 60k also matches the sales that were after the price cut, so its very good indeed.
    Oh, and this ad worked-

And obviously, the GTA beast. Its one of the best, if not the best FW in Japan for a western game. Awesome.

Great sales for DanganRonpa 1&2 too.

And Wii U…. the less said the better. You know its dire when 360 is giving it some competition. Sad indeed.
The walking dead.. or maybe already dead. Wii was discontinued, and Wii U is just barely selling above that. Will Wii U be discontinued too?”

The compliment at the start to hide the ‘meat’ of what he was intending (Wii U bashing).

“Again you are saying it, you are thinking i’m twisting. Its based on what your saying NOT ME.”

I did not say it was okay, in fact i have not even offered my opinion on what i think about labelling. But no, i am now saying that he called himself a troll, so i assume he had no problem being called it.

The exact same comment was made in this article across two comments and there is no shitstorm so i was wrong on that one, but was changed to say incoming not before.

So why does that change for this article? Depending on your answer thats why i said may.

“So i admit that i may have started this war to equal i admit i started this war? Nope may is expressing possibility, so its possible but i haven’t admitted it.” Doesn’t even make sense with the below.

“I guess you may have written these things” I did write that, i admit to that now if not obvious. I not sure where may have comes into. But if nothing happened beyond 25 comments in the thread above, why should i change may, its possible but didn’t happen it that thread.

“Don’t feed the troll.” Forgetting generally originally at 99: Disproven.

“Wait! I mean don’t feed him but if he makes a new point you can resume feeding.” Only in this article, with Francis you are the only one globalising it to trolls.

“No wait! I mean, be careful he is a troll but you can feed him all you want.” Generally 99, forgetting like the above.

Goodness, this crap is still going. This post can reach 500 for all i care, it doesn’t change the fact that Legendary loves instigating fanboys. Deny all you want, but we all know it to be true.

In this thread alone, 60% of the posts seem to come from Legendaryboss trying to defend himself (futile attempts).

Just admit that you like egging Francis on, and next time don’t even mention the words ”shitstorm” and ”francis” in the same sentence, and we can all have peace.

    #229 1 year ago
  230. Legendaryboss

“You admitted to being a hypocrite in real life and said you usually are not one on here.”

I said i made a separation between the two, i do not act the same way on here in real life and vice-versa.

“So we will assume you have no problem being call a hypocrite.”

In real life, but thats hardly been echoed. I have no problem with it on here (if valid), I can deal with it. Just like what Francis calls me. Reason being because it doesn’t impact me.

“but that means at times you are a hypocrite on here.” Not yet, i haven’t seen it. So no it doesn’t mean anything just yet. And just because others perceive it that way, still doesn’t mean anything.

    @Hcw87
“Just admit that you like egging Francis on” In your imagination, maybe but no. I will admit i disagree with him that prompts those arguments, thats all and unless stated otherwise thats just in your head. “that Legendary loves instigating fanboys.” Pity that will never be true, like the “EVERY NINTENDO THREAD.”

“but we all know it to be true.” 5 people, at best have said this and you link that to all members, you five mainly PCbros and Francis. Thats the equal to me saying 10 people have called me fat so everyone thinks i’m fat not true.

“60% of the posts seem to come from Legendaryboss trying to defend himself (futile attempts).” It shows that i’m not a pushover, if the attempts were futile this argument would be long over.

“and next time don’t even mention the words ”shitstorm” and ”francis” in the same sentence, and we can all have peace.” Is there any particular reason why i should take orders/advice on what i should or shouldn’t say? No? Didn’t think so.

Dragon you’re entitled to your opinion, but the problem is you’re an idiot.

You called Sony the “King of Home Consoles.” WTF? The Wii outsold the PS3. You bash Nintendo in the Media Create when the PS3 overall has sold pretty shitty in Japan. Its been 7 years since launch and the system has barely hit 10 million units. The 3DS has already passed it up.

You also damage controlled Pikmin 3′s sales in Japan. And tried to write it off, mocked it. Instead of saying something like, cool Pikmin is helping a bit.

The problem is you’re not a true gamer. Nintendo doesn’t interest you, you’re not going to play their games. So bashing it makes you feel better about your favorite company, Sony. Why else would you be in EVERY SINGLE NINTENDO thread….and never saying you are going to play any of the games.

And holy shit, you damage controlled the hell out of Sony’s shitty financial reports.
