The Order: 1886 at one time ventured into Jerusalem during the Crusades

The Order: 1886 at one time ventured into Jerusalem during the Crusades, according to creative director Ru Weerasuriya.

However, with the release of Assassin's Creed in 2007, he had to change things around to focus more heavily on Arthurian legends instead.

You can hear more about the creative process behind the game's story through a video interview posted on Game Informer.

At the start of the video, Weerasuriya looks a bit like Naveen Andrews did in LOST. He had since gotten his hair cut though.

Chief technology officer Andrea Pessino also talks about the game engine, and it's revealed in the video that Emmy-award winner Kirk Ellis is a co-writer on the script.

It's worth the watch and you can indulge through the link.

The Order: 1886 is slated for release next year on PS4.
