UK MD of CBS Interactive leaves to join IGN parent company Ziff Davis

IGN's parent company Ziff Davis International has appointed former CBS Interactive vice-president and UK managing director Geoff Inns. He joins the company as its new VP and MD. It should also be noted that CBS Interactive is Gamespot's parent company.

MCV reports that Inns has a long history at media firms, and held previous roles at Guardian Media Group and Express Newspapers. He will now serve under Ziff Davis chief operating officer Steve Horowitz and will help grow the company's existing publications and sites, as well as launch new brands.

Ziff Davis CEO Vivek Shah said in a statement,: “With the continued global expansion of our business and growing opportunity for our market-leading brands in new markets, it was important the leader of international business was a recognised voice in our industry. Geoff’s considerable experience will strengthen our talented teams in the UK in Australia and drive the strategy that further builds our position in new territories and additional publishing verticals."

Inns himself added, "Ziff Davis is a very exciting place to be; it's growing fast, has great brands and is run by smart people who have an abundance of energy and ideas. I'm delighted to join the team and look forward to ensuring the International division delivers against its potential.”
