XCOM: Enemy Unknown iOS update adds asynchronous multiplayer

A title update for the iOS version of XCOM: Enemy Unknown has rectified a grievous oversight in the original release, by allowing you to play multiplayer matches. You can now challenge your friends to battles, just as in the PC and console versions, but if you only have limited time you can send your turn, wander off, and resume at a later time. Hooray! The update also adds leaderboards, new achievements, and various iOS 7 optimisations. XCOM: Enemy Unknown is on sale for $10 through October 13; it normally goes for $20, so act fast.
