Pokémon: new game is in production starring Pikachu - report

Pokémon X & Y has yet to release, but chatter has already begun regarding a new off-shoot title starring Pikachu.

Gematsu reports that Japanese TV station NHK Professional: Shigoto no Ryuugi will feature an appearance by Pokemon Company president and CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara on October 28. It's unclear what he'll talk about exactly, but the network's website does speculate around a new title in the skit's descriptor.

It stated, "This summer, Ishihara started development on a never before seen game. It’s a new game featuring the very popular character Pikachu in a bold way. There is concern, however, that if it’s bad the long loved character would lose popularity in the blink of an eye.”
