Tuesday, 8th October 2013 17:03 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag post launch content and a Season Pass have been detailed by Ubisoft, and the latter will be made available for PC as well as current and next-gen systems.

The downloadable content features additional single-player missions, including ‘Freedom Cry’, a nine mission self-contained story featuring Edward Kenway’s first mate Adewale.

Each individual downloadable pack will be released before March 2014 on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

The Season Pass will be available for purchase at the launch of the game on PlayStation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, and will include the below downloadable game content at a 20% discount:

  • Freedom Cry: Born a slave, Adewale found freedom as a pirate aboard the Jackdaw as Captain Edward Kenway’s second-in-command. Fifteen years later, Adewale has become a trained assassin and finds himself shipwrecked in Saint-Domingue with no weapon nor crew, starting a new adventure of his own.
  • The Exclusive Kraken Ship Pack – Only available to Season Pass owners, this pack includes personalization elements for the Jackdaw.
  • New ways to personalize the player’s pirate experience – Additional single player missions, weapons, skins, and collectibles.
  • More Multiplayer Mayhem – Unlock new characters for an even more expansive multiplayer experience.

Also, if you pre-order the Uplay Digital Deluxe Edition through the Uplay Shop, you get an additional 5% off the cost of the season pass.

Each individual downloadable pack to be released before March 2014, and is available on PlayStation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

The Freedom Cry trailer is below.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag lands on PS3 and Xbox 360 October 29 in North America, and November 1 across Europe. The PC version is due on November 19.

The PS4, Wii U and Xbox One versions will be made available on November 22.

In before Nintendo fans swear off game, because of said reason.

Nope it looks like Wii U owners don’t get anything, so the above is now valid.

Welp, at least they’re giving dates as to the DLC release window; good to know how long I can expect to keep the game before trading.

Launch days are expensive enough without loading up on Season Passes though…
