Vita 2000 commercial talks up the value of the new

Tuesday, 1st October 2013 00:39 GMT By Brenna Hillier

This Japanese commercial for the 2000 model Vita shows off upgraded versions of various objects before cutting to the shiny new handheld console.

At present, western release for the colourful new portable has not been confirmed, but Sony isn’t ruling it out now that it’s seen demand. The Vita 2000 is lighter, has a better battery life and is quite a bit cuter.

Thanks, Destructoid.

I was thinking of getting a Vita in the immediate future. Like by the end of October, the announcement of the new model has me a bit hesitant now though.

It seems like the original screen might be better, but the longer battery life has its allure.

I’m not bothered by the size or weight, bigger might even be better for these hands.

Personal opinion, I would def go for the older model.

Im sure you will get a pretty good deal and the screen really is one of the features that ‘make’ the console IMO.

The original is a good size, it’s even too small for me to use comfortably so I use an official Hori grip although I would like this one:

which makes it more like a pad. If the newer one is even smaller I would get crazy hand cramps from using it! :)
