US PS Store update, October 1 - Rain, Beyond demo, NBA 2K14

There are plenty of goodies in this week's North American PlayStation Store update.

There's only one PS3 full game in this week's update, but it's a doozy - NBA 2K14. Visual Concepts has changed the controls - again - but this time the developer thinks it might have it right.

There are a couple of neat new PSN games if sport isn't your bag - Rain, PlayStation CAMP's atmospheric adventure, which drew fair reviews, and Flashback, which was less well-received. there's also Pro Foosball and Skydive: Proximity Flight.

On Vita, check out Atelier Meruru Plus: The Apprentice of Arland and Die! Die! Die! There's only one PS2 Classic but again it's a pretty good one - Fatal Frame 3: the Tormented. Bundle-wise, enjoy discounts on Pac-Man Championship Edition DX + All You Can Eat Edition and twin pack Jeopardy! And Wheel of Fortune.

PS Plus members get a copy of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning this week, as well as various discounts.

Also in "free things", there are demos for Beyond: Two Souls and Flashback.

Now to DLC, where you'll find add-ons for Alien Spidy, Atelier Meruru Plus: The Apprentice of Arland, Castle Crashers, Diablo 3, Disgaea D2: A brighter Darkness, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Lost Planet 3, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2, Pac-Man Championship Edition DX, Pinball Arcade and Saints Row 4.
