Total War: Rome 2 – third game update is live

Total War: Rome 2 has received its third update, which includes over 140 technical, gameplay, balancing and usability improvements.

According to the Creative Assembly, technical optimizations include: campaign performance improvements on some hardware configurations, fixes for UI flickering in SLI setups, and a significant multiplayer campaign-speed boost.

There are many gameplay improvements as well, such as alterations to the victory point system, and a reduction in the “circumstances in which victory points appear in battles.”

Rome 2′s fourth patch will be enterings public beta soon, with further technical optimizations and improvements to gameplay, balance and usability to come.

    Shame they have’t fixed the AI and victory points need to go, is that simple. The dumbest idea since hiring their Battlefield AI Programmer!

    It is a shame games like this are eclipsed so easily by GTA:V, SteamOS, Xbox One and PS4. While I have yet to play the game, the frequency of these patches seems to suggest it is shy of greatness. I had high hopes, after spending hours on the original Rome total war campaign map.
