Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning included in this week’s US PS Plus update

Monday, 30th September 2013 22:40 GMT By Brenna Hillier

As per the October schedule, North American PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive a copy of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning for their Instant Collection this week. It’s good timing, as the IP will go up for sale before the end of the year, and there’s a small chance it might be removed from sale. There’s also a small discount on Flashback, Vector Cell’s remake of the classic platform adventure.

At this rate Sony may as well charge £30 a month and just let you download any game you want ala Netflix. They could add a £5 charge here and there for a new AAA game (Uncharted for example).

I have gone off purchasing games on PS3 / Vita as it’s just a matter of time that it’ll be ‘free’. I was just about to get little king story on vita (£34.99 on PS Store), then; Bam! ‘Free’ on PS Plus.

It can only be a matter of time before this ‘gaming service’ becomes a reality. We will all have subscriptions coming out our asses!

I’m really surprised Sony / MS didn’t go for the more high power console using a subscription model that people speculated; I.e. £100 on the console then £35 – £40 a month with all services included over 2 years. Something like that.
