Gun Monkeys is free to play this weekend, half price to buy

Size Five Games has made its manic multiplayer deathmatch fighter Gun Monkeys free to play this coming weekend, so there's no excuse not to give it a try. If you like it (and you almost certainly will), it's also 50% off on Steam weekend, meaning it'll set you back £2. £2! And that's for two copies of the game!

Gun Monkeys is a 2-player fighter that takes place in procedurally generated arenas. To win you have to collect power cubes, take those cubes back to your power core, and then murder the heck out of your opponent. It's brilliant fun.

Size Five's Dan Marshall has been trying hard to promote the game, which has struggled due to its reliance on having busy servers, or at least one other person to play with. This is why a purchase of the game will net you a pair of Steam keys, so that you can gift one to a friend. Additionally if you ever find yourself in an empty server for more than a few minutes, the game hands you a Steam key so that you can get a mate involved.

Gun Monkeys is free from now until the end of Sunday September 29. Give it a go. You'll have a blast.
