New Microsoft gift cards appear on Amazon, display real currency

Monday, 23rd September 2013 12:25 GMT By Dave Cook

Following Microsoft’s decision to bin its points-based currency system, Amazon has published product listings for pre-paid cards for Microsoft formats, complete with real-currency denominations.

You can find the listings for £10, £15, £25 and £50 pre-paid cards here.

It’s unclear if these cards will become available in bricks and mortar stores, and they are yet to be given a solid release date. We’ll update once we know more.

Are you glad to see the back of Microsoft Points? Let us know below.
