This is a superb game but I’m not sure a simple graphical overhaul is enough for me to get it. Especially at full price…

It’s massively overrated… Don’t believe everything that you see, this game is probably given to the Nintendo gamers to review it, watch a trailer and see if it’s something for you, Killer is Dead got an average rating of 63, when it deserved 80-85, I would’ve given this game 5/10, Doom 3 BFG edition was a great game and derserved much better than this piece of junk.

It’s actually pretty funny because the Ninty fanboys always say it’s not about the graphics, it’s about the games? But what the fuck does this prove then? That it’s all about the graphics.

It’s all about gameplay, not graphics, but man this game looks gorgeous!

@6 certain gameplay elements have been improved as well, including the integration of Miiverse functions with the Tingle Bottle.

    @6 So, you’re saying you think it’s a good-looking game, then?

#8 Then why call it ‘Windwaker HD’? And why charge full price? I could name countless of HD remakes that were never charged full price for on the other systems. Crysis 1 is one of the best shooters I have ever played and I got it for like 600 MS points during the discounts in the summer, even if I weren’t a gold member at that time. I also got Beyond Good and Evil HD for like 500 MS points.

Give me a reason to buy a Wii U and I’ll buy one. If it wasn’t about graphics, people wouldn’t have pre-ordered Xbox One or PS4.

@6 – Don’t be such a hater. You have been ragging on Nintendo constantly and when you are proven wrong, you make excuses. Like I’ve told you before, Nintendo makes some of the best games.

If this was Titanfall’s scores you’d probably be jumping up and down. Don’t be a hypocrite.

@10 – Your comments are a waste of time. Go back to your cave troll.

@10 your comment reflects the very ignorance that was displayed in 2003. You’re in the wrong decade. You want a game that ‘looks’ crap? Try Thomas was Alone then come back and have a discussion about how a game ‘looks’ doesn’t reflect how good it actually is.

I feel sorry for your girlfriend/boyfriend/wife if you feel this way in real life, I’m sure they have to slap loads of makeup on before being worthy of your time.

Got to agree with the pricing. Other HD releases have been in the £20-£30 range. Even heavily enhanced titles like Halo Anniversary. If this was in that range I’d have it. At an RRP of £50 I won’t.

50 bucks for 4 and a half hours entertainment? Seems pricey. Trolololol.

@17 That’s INSANE! I wonder how many times that player had to go through the game to get good enough to know it all like that.

Its pricey, I will agree with that at least. I cant remember on the top of my head any single game HD release charging such high price, I may be wrong though.
The game is good though. Liked it on GC. But the character art style doesn’t gel for me.

Sony seem to have the best value when it comes to HD remakes, although they do put in the least amount of effort versus quantity some could argue.

Microsoft could do with getting on with a HD remake of Conker Live and Reloaded I reckon :P

I am wondering if this game will spur sales for the Wii-u, I hope it does. This looks like a must have if you have the system.

@22 I hope it does too, I’d like to see all three new machines have a good share of the market.

@17 A speedrun is hardly a valid representation of the game’s average play time for most people, Joe. I clocked up a food 12 hours or more easily on just a bog standard completion without side quests.

I completely agree with everyone on the price though. As a general rule, I expect HD remakes to be released at a discounted price, and those are usually *collections*. This is one game. One the best games ever made, mind, but still…

£45 for a game that’s ten years old, regardless of HD update, is bullshit.

To those complaining about the price: 1) They fully remade the game. Other companies simply up-res them. Hell, Silent Hill HD was a horrid mess of crashes. 2) Look up how much it would cost you for a copy of Wink Waker for the GameCube. Before HD came out, the cheapest you could find it for was, you guessed it (though, you probably didn’t, you don’t do any research or know things) $50. They still charge $60 for every “new” CoD game, which is practically a shinier version of a 5 year-old game. I would even venture to guess those complaining don’t own Wii Us and have never had any intention of buying the game regardless of price. But hey, thus is the way of the troll.

Also, I can’t believe someone yelled at Joe M for his troll that he even said was a troll in the post! I thought it was funny, Joe, keep shinobi-ing.
