GT Academy 2013 has a winner: Miguel Faisca from Lisbon, Portugal

The winner of GT Academy 2013 has been announced as Miguel Faisca, a 24-year-old student from Lisbon, Portugal. Faisca will now join the Driver Development Program headed up by the GT Academy team and Nissan, in advance of a full racing season in a Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3 next year. He’ll also become an ambassador for Gran Turismo. Faisca beat out 42 European gamers who descended upon Silverstone to put the skilled they learned playing Gran Turismo to test behind the wheel of Nissan racing cars. Mentors and judges included former F1 drivers Johnny Herbert, René Arnoux, Stefan Johansson and Tonio Liuzzi. Gran Turismo 6 releases on PS3 December 6.
