Thursday, 12th September 2013 09:40 GMT By Dave Cook

Grand Theft Auto 5 isn’t out until September 17, yet someone is posting a shed-load of gameplay clips on their Vine channel. MAJOR SPOILERS.

The user – known as JSticks11 – is posting gameplay clips a-plenty, showing off various aspects of the game. You can see them here.

UPDATE: He’s just had his Xbox 360 console blocked. He’s posted a message on the matter now.

    I watched a few, nothing really exciting to me.

    Just some walking and driving. And a few secs of the opening cutscene.

    @ 2 He only got banned because he some how got a copy of the game a week before he should have and started vining it (leaking) it illegally. They are generally very lenient, since sometimes retailers (mainly online) send it out early so you get it in time but it comes earlier like a day which they tend to just ignore anyway so. Yeah

    Call me crazy, but i’m pretty sure retail copies in next gen may be locked until release (digital or physical), kinda like Steam does nowadays.

    Would be better for everyone, especially the publishers.

    I played so many Games Days before Release. Not that it was my Intention, I pre-Orderd the stuff and they send It early to me. I didn’t ask them to do it, they just did, and because the Games are already here, I play them then before Release.

    I really don’t get the Problem with playing before Release, am I something like Hitler now because I do it? I paid for the stuff, Full Price and all.

    Kinda dumb that you’re asking, since the topic you’re posting under is about retards posting spoilers of the most anticipated game of the year.

    If you can get the game early, so can the retards that spoil our game.

    With next gen going more digital, i hope they lock games until their actual release date.

    Or Franklin’s dog in action! :P :D

    @7 There is always a way to avoid spoilers, don’t watch them!

    @7: The Last Game without spoilers in the Internet was probably released befor we had Internet. They are everywehere.

    And when I don’t wanna get spoilerd – I just don’t watch or read the stuff. So I really don’t see the Big Crime in what he did. And I can Imagine there are People who wanna see this stuff, so why not give it them? Everybody can chose what he clicks on.

    When more and more people see the spoilers (people that actually want to, to troll other people), they start posting the spoilers on pretty much any mainstream youtube video/news site etc.

    So to avoid getting spoiled means i have to go out of my way to not do the stuff i enjoy doing every day.

    Fuck that, and fuck the people who spoil this shit.

    Haven’t watched this obviously, and it doesn’t seem to be that spoiler-ish, but you can bet your ass that as soon as major spoilers start going live, it’s going to be hard to avoid.

    and they couldn’t afford a good camera

    Nope.

    And by “better for everyone”, I assume you forgot “except the people that buy it”.

  14. Bam007

    @11 LOL! Only a handful of people know how to get a JTAG online. The rest of ‘em pay for it and at the moment, no ‘service’ is being offered.

    Worst case, it’s a flashed console. Even so, he was online when he was playing the game.

    @15 How does this happen! I’ve never received a game that early. Yes, I’m totally jealous.

    @13
    When people pre-order a game, it’s in order to get it at release.

    Noone is entitled to get the game a week before release for example.

    #17 1 year ago
  18. tezzer1985

    @16 I ordered it from a local independent store “GamesMaster” in Brixton, in London…they always deliver games, as soon as they get them. I’m a bit worried about playing it…don’t want to get banned

    #18 1 year ago
  19. AngryConsumer

    @18 unplug your xbox and play offline for a week until it releases. then you should not have anything to worry about.

    #19 1 year ago
  20. Hcw87

    @19
    Achievements will still track the date they unlock.

    Seriously though, they won’t ban you. They would have warned you in advance if they planned on doing that.

    #20 1 year ago
  21. tezzer1985

    @19 This might sound weird, but when my consoles are not connected online, when I game, it feels strange looool

  22. mreko3230

    @18 Wonder if they ship them early to the States? ummmmm?

    #22 1 year ago
  23. Fin

    @17

    “Noone is entitled to get the game a week before release for example.”

    You shouldn’t block them playing a game they’ve legally obtained.

    @18

    They hardly have stock on the shelves, do they?

    #23 1 year ago
  24. Hcw87

    @23
    They’re not blocked.

    They can start playing as soon as they’re supposed to (along with everyone else).

    #24 1 year ago
  25. Fin

    @24

    Please explain how blocking someone, who has legally obtained a physical copy of the game, from playing until it until an arbitrary date set by the publisher, is better for that person.

    #25 1 year ago
  26. Hcw87

    @25
    That person can rest safely knowing that spoilers before a game launches is a thing of the past.

    Seriously, it works with steam and it will work with next gen. And i really really hope this gets implemented.

    #26 1 year ago
  27. Fin

    Sorry, that’s a ridiculous argument. I get a game a day early, I want to play it a day early.

    Digital releases, fine. Physical releases, nope.

    “it will work with next gen”

    Nope.

  28. noamlol2

    i did a quick search in the net and appearntly
    the Gamestop like store in my country sells the game in the 15/09
    for 90$!

    i can’t believe people order that game in that price

    desperation is bad

    @30

    Not everyone buy their games on launch day. I sure don’t, so I could complain for all the spoilers “those stupid persons” will post randomly on the web.

    #34 1 year ago
  35. Hcw87

    @34
    The people who buy their game at launch won’t get spoiled if it gets date-locked.

    Which is my point. I fail to see the negatives of implementing a system like this.

    #35 1 year ago
  36. CyberMarco

    @35

    There isn’t any negative but this is a great problem either, just stay away from those articles.

    @31
    What a pointless petition. Just because there are a few assholes out there pirating games on PC does not mean everyone does it. What about the PC gamers that buy their games legally and want to play GTA V? We have pirates too on consoles, should developers stop creating console games now?

    I’d also like to know why his console got banned. For playing before release or for leaking gameplay videos before release?

    #38 1 year ago
  39. sincereeink

    Only reason he was banned was because he was online during play anybody Tht has jtagged or xkey type xboxes knows this is a no no he was so excited but look where it got him fucking idiot

    @20 achievement does not show a date if it is earned while off line.

    But the simplest matter would be to play it without being logged into your gamertag.

    #42 1 year ago
  43. Legion

    His console was not necessarily banned for playing the video. Likely it only highlighted his account for them to see other avenues of illegal use that he can be banned for.

    Normally it is the game company that bans accounts for game play usage issues. In that case his gamertag would be banned from playing the companies software. Not a console ban itself.

    A console ban is normally a larger case of manipulation then simply playing a game earlier then released.

    If it had been a ban for Prerelease title play then it would have likely been a XBL ban and not a console ban. See here: http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/1829xcigmllxqjpg/ku-xlarge.jpg

    and he would have received an e-mail such as the image.

    Edit. another note. A ban does nothing to prevent the console from being used to play anything offline. It only prevents use of console on XBL itself. If his console was banned then he can still post videos of offline play if he wished. for some odd reason he is not posting said videos anymore. The console does not get bricked per say.

    Their is hardly any spoilers within the vines, just 5 seconds or so of in-game footage of him shooting people, driving around grove street etc.
    which is good, i’ve wanted to see actual gameplay that is definitely running on a current gen console and he provided it.
