Over My Dead Body 2 for the Vita looks surprisingly good, won’t come to the west

All ye who enter, go beyond the break and gaze at these lovely screenshots, now ye despair, for they are coming to Japanese Vitas next year and to the west perhaps later?

Over My Dead Body 2 is the sequel to a cult classic PlayStation 1 JRPG which got a PSP remake and has forever frustrated JRPG fans in the west by never being translated.

However on the IGN Beyond podcast, Suhei Yoshida, the President of Sony Worldwide Studios said he wanted to see the game come over to the west, so here’s hoping we won’t miss out again.

Thanks, NeoGAF.

That’s not confirmation, but I’ll definitely add that in!

Hope it does come over, those screens look perfect for the Vita.

With digital distribution there should be a better chance of these sort of titles getting here too. Couple of PS3/Vita titles have gone the digital only route where previously they wouldn’t have risked translation where retail was the only option.

Yoshida has also tweeted about it …

“I would be hit by heart attack if it won’t come to the Western market. It’s such a beautiful game.”

NB: His profile pic on twitter is awesome …
