Watch Dogs has received a DedSec Edition unboxing video from Ubisoft, revealing its lovely innards for all to see.

The pack is available for all formats and is coming to Europe, Asia, The Middle East and Australia-New Zealand in a snazzy box. It includes a 23cm Aidan Pearce figure, an “Art of Watch Dogs” book, four augmented reality cards, a map of Chicago, a set of badges and the game’s soundtrack.

There are also three single-player missions included, starting with ‘Breakthrough’, which includes a Vehicle Expert perk, a Signature Shot pack that includes a gang outfit, and a Palace Pack that includes investigation bonuses.

What do you think?

Watch Dogs is out November 19 in North America, and November 22 in Europe.

It needed to come with some of those comedy plastic mobile phones that are attached to the front of children’s magazines.

    I don’t get why they’d do that.

See, all the footage of this game thus far that they’ve released as marketing has made it look completely monotone and depressing. It was all rainy, without an iota of colour in sight. It looked dreary and depressing, which is how GTA IV felt to me, in all honesty.

GTA IV suffered with chronic desaturation, and it seems like many open world games have been trying to ape that look in the vein of how modern military shooters have been trying to ape the more desaturated look of Call of Duty. So now that I’ve seen footage of Watch_Dogs that doesn’t look entirely horrible, I’m not sure how to feel.

Damn it, Ubisoft. You’re really shooting yourself in the foot with your marketing, here, because some of that actually looked quite colourful and visually appealing, yet I had to watch a video about a collector’s edition to actually see that?

    Sigh.

Oh well, I might be slightly curious about this one, we’ll see. I need to see more of the world and be exposed to more of the story.
