DayZ zombie AI getting reworked, won't affect Alpha's release

DayZ will be getting a new zombie AI system, according to the latest update on the game's blog. Dean Hall is in the process of writing the new code, which will see more natural pathing, the avoidance of obstacles and the ability to change course based on player location. Hall said revamping the AI won't delay the Alpha as the current system can be switched out once it's ready. Progress on multiplayer optimization was also mentioned. Still no date on the Alpha. Video is below. Thanks, PCgamesN.
