Dark Souls 2 beta registration is now open on PSN. Be quick to earn your spot in the testing phase.

UPDATE: Namco Bandai has just confirmed that the first Dark Souls 2 beta round for North America, Europe and Australasia will begin on 12th October and the second round will begin on 27th October.

ORIGINAL STORY: The beta phase was announced over on PS Blog EU, and called on players to sign-up from today.

To register, simply download the Dark Souls II Beta Registration Ticket from PlayStation Store. The blog advises that you’ll find it in the ‘Games’ section under ‘Latest Releases’

There’s no word on when the beta will start, as it was previously announced for October 5, but we’ll update you once we know more.

Will you get involved?

Signed up but not sure if it’s just a chance or I’ll definitely get in.

For info: You won’t get the standard download notification when completing this process. However, you can check that it has registered correctly via the XMB – Account Management > Transaction Management > Services List.

Shouldn’t PS+ member be able to participate to the beta from the get-go?

Also, I “bought” the ticket from the webstore, do I have to download it on my PS3?

    Edit – Thank Stace!
