Nintendo and Mojang have "continuing relationship", says Nintendo

Nintendo has a continuing relationship with Minecraft studio Mojang, despite the sandbox romp's absence on both Wii U and 3DS.

When asked about Minecraft on Nintendo formats by with Gamespot, Nintendo's business development manager Dan Adelman replied, "What can we say on that front? [laughs]."

Senior manager of marketing for licensing Damon Baker then added, "We're big fans. We have a continuing relationship with Mojang, and respect all the work that they're doing, but no announcements at this time."

The site adds that back in March, Mojang's Jens Bergensten said that a Wii U edition of Minecraft is "very unlikely."
