Killer Instinct Chief Thunder trailer teases female fighter

Saturday, 31st August 2013 17:20 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

The Killer Instinct trailer which popped up during gamescom and was pulled, showing off Chief Thunder’s moves and a mysterious lady fighter, has resurfaced. Her identity is still unconfirmed at this point, but many believe her to be Black Orchid, despite other rumbling stating she is a new character. We’ll see, I suppose. Killer Instinct will be a free download with extra fighters costing £3.99/€4.99 each or through the Killer Instinct Combo Breaker pack for £16.99/€19.99. Thanks, CGR Trailers.

It’s nice to see the IP brought back to life so convincingly, even if I’m still more tempted by the PS4 than the XB1.

So far, I’ve hated design of fighters but the female one looks rather cool. That said, I like the gameplay and hopefully they can pull it off (Even if it’s Double Helix).

Each character they show looks better than the last character. Love the chief thunder design and this female fighter looks awesome. Especially like the way her blades look and her fluidity of movement

C’mon people, everyone should know by now that Rare is overseeing the project – incl. Ken Lobb! Your fears are unnecessary :D

@4: DUDE, *nobody* at Rare who worked on the original KI is involved with the project – apart from *maybe* Rare’s current head of QA. Also, Ken Lobb was a Project Manager at Nintendo, not a Designer.

I’m not saying that the new KI won’t be good – it’s looking great so far – but the whole Rare involvement thing is just lip-service for us fans, it;s nothing meaningful in any way.
