Sword of the Stars: Ground Pounders hits Kickstarter, free demo available

Sword of the Stars: Ground Pounders is the new hex-based sci-fi strategy title from Kerberos Productions, and it's now crowd-funding on Kickstarter for your consideration.

Over on the Ground Pounders campaign page, the project has made $3,255 of its $42,000 goal with 29 days to go.

The game uses infantry and vehicles from the Sword of the Stars series and throws three factions together in a series of turn-based battles and campaigns. The game is coined as having both single and multiplayer and is inspired by the Panzer General series.

An alpha demo of Ground Pounders is available now and it features the tutorial. You can download it here.

The game is targeted for a December release on PC and Android, although Mac, iOS and Linux support will follow if the team makes its target.
