    Yup, W101 bomba confirmed.

    So, neither Mario, nor Pikmin, and not even new exciting IPs can save Wii U. The final nail in Wii U coffin will be when PS4 crosses its lifetime sales in 2014.

    And Conception 2 sold more on Vita than 3DS (1 was a psp game). Super Robot underperformed on both (previous one was a PS3 game).

    Low hardware numbers all around, as expected after Obon.

    Some comparisons of Platinum games-
    First Weeks (by Famitsu):

    Metal Gear Rising: 335,791 (PS3)
    Bayonetta: 138,430 (PS3) + 66,211 (360) = 204,641
    Vanquish: 51,705 (PS3) + 11,798 (360) = 63,503
    Infinite Space: 40,266 (DS)
    Anarchy Reigns: 21,199 (PS3) + 4,170 (360) = 25,369
    The Wonderful 101: 6,663 (Wii U)
    Mad World: 4,651 (Wii)

    So W101 is the second WORST selling game by them (last being a Wii game). Just shows how bad Wii U position really is.

    @Dragon
    Could be because of the amount shipped on both portables:

    PS Vita = Shipped: 60,000 = Sold: 18.878
    3DS = Shipped: 30,000 = Sold: 5.072

    http://www.siliconera.com/2013/08/19/spike-shipping-more-copies-of-conception-ii-on-vita-than-3ds/

    It just proves that different games can have different kind of success/failures on different portables, it also means that install base doesn’t really matter too much.

    @LB,
    Its exactly because of that. Different games sell on different systems, with different fanbases. A psp game successor will probably sell more on vita than 3ds.
    Similarly a PS3 game successor will sell more on PS3 than others.
    Hardware numbers do play a part though.

    Also, multiplatform Vita games just kill 3ds ones in terms of graphics and controls. Why wouldn’t you buy a superior version of the game if you own the console?
