Deadalic has released a new trailer for upcoming point-and-click Memoria, part of The Dark Eye family of games. It arrives on PC via Steam and on August 30, and casts players as a young fowler – don’t ask me – who must solve an historical mystery to save his girlfriend.

I’d honestly say ‘get Night of the Rabbit instead,’ it’s better. This… I don’t know, it’s pretty but it’s also so painfully generic, and it’s more ‘save the world’ trash. I hate being hard on Daedelic Games, but they were clearly trying to be homogeneous here to appeal to boring types.

They’re too small for that to work, they need to go with games more like the Whipsered World and Night of the Rabbit, the more fringe stuff, to appeal to the audience they do have.
