I swear some moderation is needed, it’s not like I’m expecting censorship but some comments here should not be published as it doesn’t bring anything of value and only serves flame bait purposes.

@2 The feature works for cross-platform titles, not Remote Play.

@7 well using common sense, if the PS4 is running a cross-game chat, you will most likely be able to continue that via remote play on the vita. I’d imagine either Shuhei or another Sony exec will clarify sooner or later.

Actually I think it is what it says it is. That you can chat with friends in party chat on PS4 or Vita. Which is pretty cool but I honestly just don’t care that much for party chat.

I use it only when I am playing a game with a friend or just talking to them. Rarely do I use it while playing different games. It annoys the hell out of me.

#4 How? Almost all the great games are coming to the X1. You can’t say you’ve just won based on an E3 conference, you still write like it’s the months of June, change the date, you’re in August now, next gen haven’t even started There’s a tremendous amount of content coming to X1 and 360. FIFA is gonna have exclusive content, Madden is gonna have exclusive content, Battlefield is gonna have have exslusive content, Call of Duty is gonna have exlwuive content, all the great games and developers have X1 as their first priority to make games. Dead Rising 3, Titanfall, Left 4 Dead 3, Ryse, Sunset Overdrive. You name it, all the great games are coming to X1, those games will sell the console in great numbers so it’s truly gonna be the number 1 next gen console on the market when it launches and it has a much bigger launch line up than the Ps4.

@11 Xbox has “timed” exclusives for major third-party titles, and FIFA has an exclusive “Legends” pack for Ultimate Team. The major titles are being built for PC, because these consoles are PC’s with a different OS, or in the Xbox’s case, 3 OS’, but the architecture is essentially the same. Both companies will have their major exclusives, and each company will have their failures. PS4 may be faster out of the gate, due to the marketing failures that Microsoft has committed, but in the long run, as gamers we are in for more of the same. This generation will have parity, just as the previous generations have, and we need it. We need it because that drives competition, which drives innovation, which is obviously a good thing. We need both the Xbox One and the PS4 to succeed.

PS: The PS4′s launch lineup is much bigger than the Xbox One’s, but launch is peas compared to the hopefully 10 yr life cycle these consoles will have. Longevity is key.

1 of those games doesn’t publicly exist, timed exclusives, Titanfall not exclusive, games with exclusive content are timed and nevertheless still available on other platforms so doesn’t make Xbox One different. As always inaccuracy in your posts.

#12 This sentence doesn’t make any sense to me:

”Xbox has “timed” exclusives for major third-party titles,”

Ryse, Sunset Overdrive, Dead Rising 3, Titanfall, Fable, Killer Instinct, Project Spark, Below, Quantum Break and D4, none of these are ”timed” exclusives. If you’re talking about DLC being timed, then yes there might be some Call of Duty and Battlefield DLC that are timed, but both Madden and Fifa have exclusive and non timed content that makes the console the first priority to play these games. The Xbox is the number 1 priority to make games to, that’s why is has so many exclusive third party games releasing on it and why almost all the fantastic publishers are launching their DLC first on the console, to see if it sells there and port it to the second class systems only if it sold good on Xbox.

Sony have far from as many third party exclusives as Microsoft, they have only about 5, and a few couple of first party exclusives.

I like seeing people list games they never tried as fantastic exclusives. XD it always tickles me especially when they mention games that have no real info like Sunset, Project Spark, D4, and Quantum Break.

Also, then never want to talk about the oppositions “timed” content either.

Lastly, be realistic. Developers aren’t releasing on the Xbone timed exclusives because it’s superior. They are releasing it because MS paid for it. HUGE difference there for you

@14: Sure, Microsoft has only timed exclusives. Except for some first party titles, of course. Titan Fall is no exclusive, Quantum Break will be, like Alan Wake, a timed exclusive, for sure. Dead rising will be multiplat with the next part again, for sure, too.
The difference between Sony and Microsoft ist, first, that Sony is in the gaming industry for longer and has more first gaming studios, so they can deliver games for three platforms at the same time. And, secondly, alot of day-one exclusive third-party games are Japanese and Japanese gaming publishers rarely rerelease their games later for other platfors, especially not for the Xbox.

Ps4 launch is full of indie crap ware games .. that shit doesn’t count. . Come on a bunch of garbage games from someone’s basement doesn’t make a dent in the armor of Microsoft. . Get real games sony.. killzone lol its by far the worst fps at launch. Bf4 cod. Easily best it

#16 Titanfall is a next gen exclusive, if you wanna play it on the PC, then you’d have to pay a high price for a gaming PC and even play it on a little screen all the time with a chair that injures your back. Alan Wake never released on the Ps3, they only tried it on Xbox to see if it sells there and port it to the second class if it sold good. If you have any evidence for Dead Rising being timed exclusive, then you might wanna share it with us, even if it was timed, it just proves that Capcom prioritizes the Xbox to release their games to see how it sells.

”The difference between Sony and Microsoft ist, first, that Sony is in the gaming industry for longer”

Lol, Microsoft has been in the games industry since the first Windows PC got released.

”and has more first gaming studios, so they can deliver games for three platforms at the same time.”

That doesn’t mean that they have more exclusives than Microsoft, if they can bring software, they can bring software, if they can’t they can’t. Can’t be that hard. I don’t wanna buy a console for how it looks or how ”sleeker” it is. I buy it for software and nobody’s interested to buy a handheld that is charged 300$ for, you can buy a Google store game for 5$ and enjoy it as much as a DS or PSV game.

”And, secondly, alot of day-one exclusive third-party games are Japanese and Japanese gaming publishers rarely rerelease their games later for other platfors, especially not for the Xbox.”

You’re talking about a country that’s in the far east, with a vastly different culture and that only releases their games in their own country and mostly have success there. Change your radar we’re in the west and I’m mostly talking about western gaming. I don’t know what happens in Japan or what games they’re freaking there, I don’t even care.

They talked a lot about those games in the previeous conference and exhibitions. A gameplay video should be enough to feel how good a game is.

”Developers aren’t releasing on the Xbone timed exclusives because it’s superior.

No they are prioritizing. Xbox 360 sold much better than Ps3 in the US.

”They are releasing it because MS paid for it. HUGE difference there for you”

    Evidence please?

Again you can’t extend the definition of exclusive to only next gen, forgetting PC/Xbox 360 releases. Thats not how exclusive works. Capcom got paided by MS this has nothing to do with picking sides.

This comment’s section is just pure gold… C’mon guys, just buy whatever box you want and leave it at that. They’re both pretty cool, and other people’s opinions shouldn’t matter for the things you do for enjoyment anyways.

I’m sure the derps here will regret for not buying the PS4 , Let those *Timed Exclusives* appeals for a limited time idiots

if you made your own Decision from now and you put all you trust on M$ don’t even dare to touch the PS4 , stay away from our Hardcore fanbase and be the whiny little b#$% who have fun with grown up 12 years old’s who loves shooters and put their own interest on M$ A$$

BTW There’s 180 Games in development confirmed for the PS4 in 2014 .

This person speaks with reason… Kill him!!!! :P

Seriously though, both companies are providing great offers to certain types of people. If your preference doesn’t match up with a particular console, then no one is going to force you to buy it, there is no reason to belittle others that do find that product appealing, everyone is different, and it’s because of that difference that we get so many choices to choose from and have the industry always try and cater to your needs.
And the competing product you so despise, guess what? Your experience is made better on your own console because that competitor exists, and has a following. Because your brand will keep on offering you more and more benefits in order to try and keep you from jumping ship. The whole thing with the xbox one is proof of this.

I know my words probably fall on deaf ears, but I hope you realise that when all you do is shout non-constructive comments from the rooftops about how crap your brand’s competitors product is, and how absolutely perfect your console chioce is, then your shouts too, get tuned out to be nothing but white noise.

@19 You do know how timed exclusivity or exclusive content works right? Developers don’t just say “Hey! I got a great idea! let’s limit our resources to one user base because we like it that much!”. It goes more like this “Hey! I got a great idea! Let’s sale our resources in small intervals to MS/Sony for a timed period!”

Wanna know prime example? Try the SF x T DLC issue and with the characters Mega Man, Pac Man and Cole. They said that they pitched it to MS and Sony and Sony paid for the content while MS didn’t.

Plain and simple. It’s a business, and that debunks pretty much everything you claim.
