Terminators: The Video Game announced

Unexpected news out of Gamecom, as UK publisher Reef Entertainment has revealed that it has acquired exclusive console rights to 1984's The Terminator as well as exclusive console and PC rights for 1991's Terminator 2: Judgement Day. They'll be creating several games based on the licenses, the first of which will be Terminators: The Video Game.

“Here at Reef we are huge fans of 1984 & 1991 Sci-Fi action master-pieces” read a statement issues by Reef. “It’s an incredible opportunity and an equally huge responsibility to create a game that does great justice to the motion-pictures. We are studying all aspects and influences of the Terminator universe defined in Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgment Day. We have started on our journey and are drawing on all the diverse materials available to produce a high quality, authentic and exciting Terminator video game.”

This is becoming something of a habit for Reef. It's they who'll be bringing us Rambo: The Video Game this year. That game is an on-rails shooter. Will Terminators follow suit?

Thanks, IGN.
