Murasaki Baby from Ovosonico coming exclusively to Vita

Murasaki Baby, a new title from Italy-based developer Ovosonico designed specifically for Vita touch controls, was announced during Sony's gamescom press event today.

Headed up by Shadow of the Dammed creator and former Grasshopper Manufacture director Massimo Guarini, the which is based on human emotions and bonding, looks rather gorgeous.

The art in it was fully hand-crafted and designed on paper, and tells the tale of Baby waking up in a weird world, populated by children’s fantasies and fears.

Holding a purple, heart-shaped balloon in her hand, she feels lost, homesick and vulnerable and you will need to "grab her hand and be her guide" as you journey through a "dramatic, yet grotesque world made of children’s fantasies and fears, nightmarish visions, peculiar characters, unique environments."

The developers hope that when grabbing Baby’s hand that they will bond with her and feel a connection

Murasaki Baby is slated for release on Vita in 2014.
