Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends coming to PS3, Vita this year - report

Hot on the heels of the western launch of Dynasty Warriors 8, the latest Famitsu has word of a follow-up, in the form of standalone expansion Xtreme Legends.

The announce comes from Japanese reports of Famitsu leaks, and there's a little confusion; according to Siliconera, it's a PlayStation 3 exclusive, while Gematsu has word that it's coming to Vita, too. The latter harvested pricing details for both platforms from its sources, which is quite convincing.

In any case, Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends appears to be getting a day-and-date PlayStation Store launch alongside a retail release, and hits Japan on November 28. Western release has not been announced but it pretty likely.

The latest addition to the bustling Warriors catalogue adds two new characters, Chen Gong and Zhu Ran, If Scenacrios, an enhanced Commander Mode, online leaderboards and "new actions".

It will support cross-play and cross-save, and will have DLC.
