The Division gamescom trailer shows tablet companion play

Tuesday, 20th August 2013 11:10 GMT By Brenna Hillier

Through the break you can see how The Division’s mobile client works seamlessly with the console and newly-announced PC version.

You’ll see the game from two perspectives; that of somebody using the core version, and that of a player who has logged in on a tablet. As you can see, the companion app is way more than a simple social tool or stat-checker; it interacts with the persistent online world in meaningful ways. Which is rad.

    This looks fucking ace!

I still think MS should make a tablet version of the 360 so that surface is more likely to be used on one of their products.

You could plug it into the Xbo9ne for b/c, seeing as you can already do that with a regular 360, it would make sense.

Also, certain XBLA would be playable, ‘on the move’.

Looks pretty awesome. I have no idea how they are getting a full 3D version of the battlefield on the iPad, but The Devision is an instant buy on PS4 for me.

Wish it was coming to Wii U. But oh well, I’ll make due with the PC version.

Looks brilliant! But surely this must be something that increases development costs quite a bit? They’re essentially creating two different games innit.
