Rogue Legacy coming first to PS4 and PS Vita in 2014

Rogue Legacy is coming to PS4 and PS Vita first in 2014, Sony announced during its gamescom press conference.

Toronto-based Cellar Door Games' rogue-like indie-platformer will come to both formats next year after being released on June 27, 2013 for PC.

If you are unfamiliar with Rogue Legacy, it tasks you with exploring a randomly generated dungeon where you must defeat four bosses in each of the four environments.

Upon completion, you will need to them defeat the final boss. It's rather difficult from what we've heard so expect to die a lot.

However, your gold will not be lost once accumulated, as you can bequeath it to your "heir," which is one of three characters randomly generated you can pick once you launch a new game. The new character has the possibility to buy equipment or abilities using that gold that will also be transferred to the previous heirs.

Mac and Linux versions are also still in the works, but a release date has not been announced.
