Project Spark trailer and screens show off community-made games

Project Spark is one of the more interesting Xbox One exclusives. It’s a ‘game-maker’, and now there’s new media which shows off what people with access to the game have been making.

The trailer doesn’t show much of the creation process, but instead focuses on the results. There seems to be a good variety, from stylish side-scrollers to 3D adventure and minigames.

Project Spark is being developed by Team Dakota for Microsoft Studios. Players will be able to use Kinect and SmartGlass to assist them in creating their levels and games. No release date has yet been announced.

So basically we have an MS equivalent to LBP… one that looks a hell of a lot better :).

Seems to have a lot of flexibility and one to watch for me. Lacks some the charm of LBP for me. Screenshots look a lot nicer than the video.

There’s quite a lot of browser-based games like this for PC – Roblox and Gameglobe spring to mind, I’m sure there are others too.

@4, but this is also on console :).

@5, As far as consoles go, it is indeed X1 exclusive.

At one point this was touted as on XB360 as well. Not too sure if that is the case or not.

Maybe the way they see it it’s a Microsoft exclusive? As in, on all of the MS brands of One, 360 and PC.
