GTA 5 PC: Nvidia has no knowledge of release, comment made in error - statement

Grand Theft Auto 5 was pegged for a 'Fall' release during Nvidia's recent investor call. The company has now confirmed to VG247 that the release window was stated in error.

Sent to us this morning, the statement reads, “Please note, during our Thursday’s earnings call, our investor relations team provided a list of important games that gamers are looking forward to on PC this fall, and included Grand Theft Auto V on that list.

"This statement was made with the intent of expressing enthusiasm for the games industry in general, and was not intended to represent specific knowledge possessed by NVIDIA. NVIDIA does not have information on any possible PC version release of Grand Theft Auto or its availability. We deeply regret the error.”

The fall release window was mentioned during this investor call, sparking rumours that GTA 5 would indeed hit PC this year. That's all up in the air again now.

Worry not though, here's some brand-new GTA 5 screens to keep you happy for a while.

GTA 5 launches worldwide on PS3 and Xbox 360 September 17.
