WWE 2K14: '30 Years of WrestleMania' campaign mode revealed

WWE 2K14 developer Yuke's has unveiled the game's new '30 Years of WrestleMania' career mode which spans the most memorable fights in the pay-per-view's history.

Similar to WWE 13's career mode, which charted the history of Monday Night Raw, the new mode begins with the inaugural WrestleMania and throws players into 45 iconic matches including Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant's clash for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 3.

WWE commentator Jim Ross will announce the mode's full roster via Twitch on August 17 at 20:30 p.m. BST.

Chris Snyder, senior director of Marketing at 2K said in a statement, “For nearly three decades, WWE has inspired millions worldwide through the historic, cultural and undeniable phenomenon that is WrestleMania.

"Through the 30 Years of WrestleMania Mode in WWE 2K14, players can now relive their favourite nostalgic and recent WrestleMania moments – from an incredible roster to authentic presentation and match play – in a unique and engaging way."

The mode will see WWE superstars return in their original outfits as they battle in authentically re-created depictions of their fights. If it's as good at fan-service as Monday Night Raw's mode was in WWE 13, then wrestling fans should be in for a treat.

We've got shots of just some of the mode's superstars below. What do you make of the mode so far?

WWE 2K14 is out on PS3 and Xbox 360 in North America on October 29, and across Europe from November 1.
