Beat Hazard Ultra, the arcade shooter that makes use of your music library, has been given an update, and has been re-released on the Xbox indie channel for 400 MS Points. The update adds co-op, versus online and local multiplayer as well as boss rush and survival modes. There are also two new bosses, 10 new enemy ships, 24 new perks, and three new tactical weapons, according to D’toid. The game’s creator Steve Hunt also said the game has sold over 700,000 copies since its initial release, thus making around $2.2 million. The game is also available for PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, and PS3.

Well that took a while, I’m pretty sure we’ve had those features on the PC version for many months. Which reminds me, I should reinstall…

As long as there are no per-song leaderboards available for the DRM-free version, I’m not interested.

By the way – $2.2 Million?! Holy crap!!

And well deserved too. Steve has done a great job on Beat Hazard. I wish him all the success.
