Polytron has "other stuff on the way" says firm's producer

Polytron producer Marie-Christine Bourdua has said despite the cancellation of Fez 2, there are other things in the works at the studio, such as ports of the original Fez.

According to Bourdua, Linux and Mac versions are in the works, along with "other stuff on the way, too" she told Joystiq.

The developer is also "working with Sony," and while a PS3 or Vita version of the game has yet to be confirmed, Polytron's former programmer Renaud Bédard said "announcements are going to come really, really soon."

Bourdua went on to say she was as surprised as anyone over the cancellation of Fez 2, but said she respects and trusts Phil Fish "a lot, so that's totally fair that he decided that and he has his reasons."

"The development of Fez 2 is up to him," added Bédard. "If he decided [to cancel it] now or he decided it at the end of development, it's easier to cut it out now, than it is to say 'Hey, we've been working on this for years and I'm not feeling able to finish it.'

"So in that way it just makes more sense."

Fez 2 was cancelled last week.
