Deep Down receives new trailer ahead of TGS reveal, is online RPG

Thursday, 1st August 2013 11:07 GMT By Dave Cook

Deep Down is being developed by Capcom Online Games and is to be showcased at TGS . The RPG was initially announced for PS4 back in February and it has received a new trailer.

The clip was published over on the official Deep Down site, and gives a glimpse of vicious ghouls and creatures.

Note that the URL also reads “PC”, suggesting that the game could hit both PS4 and PC at launch.

What do you think?

Thanks AGB.

Its probably for the better than PS4 will launch in 2014 in Japan, since most of its launch lineup is geared towards west.

    Oh my god… :/

Same thing with Destiny – I was interested before it turned out it’s online game.

Is this is? Is the “online” element a must? Primary one for next-gen? Then all we’ll have left will be some PC games from Kickstarter :/

Is deep down a first person action game?

The game that intrigued me the most became much less intriguing with “Online”.
Where does this “Online RPG” info come from btw? Is this confirmed or rumour?

Every time I see a Deep Down trailer I think of Demon/Dark Souls. Anyone else?

Tom Clancy The Division (Could just be a spelling mistake)

Tom Clancy’s The Division is an upcoming online multiplayer third-person tactical shooter action role-playing video game developed by Ubisoft Massive under the Tom Clancy brand for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It was announced during Ubisoft’s E3 2013 press conference, together with a seven minute gameplay demo.

Yep i saw that at the reveal.

@3 Considering Dark Souls is technically an online RPG too I wouldn’t give up on the game just yet.

The URL is just for watching the trailer on a PC instead of a phone.

It’s PC, PS4 and in the future it will be Xbox One.

So the Next Gen so far: MMO’s On consoles and Alt-Tab feature.

Next generation of nothing. Interesting fact is that publishers are trying to search some opportunity with Online games on consoles. So much LoL in it.

@12: let’s hope that this one is an online RPG in the same vein. Otherwise I am not interested…

    @12 There’s a big difference between “technically”(SP & MP mode)and only online.

“The game is a “memory reading RPG” with dungeons at its core. It will make its playable debut at the Tokyo Game Show from September 19 to 22.”

    An online RPG. Confirmed.

Titanfall, The Division, The Crew and now Deep Down…

I really wanted to like those games but online equals off-my-radar.
